Thank you so much. You did an outstanding job of showing what you were doing so that even an old lady novice like me could feel confidant about removing the fuel rail. I need to clean out my EGR passages. Now that I know how to remove the rail I will be able to do that. I really appreciate your help. God bless!
I believe I was charged $30 per injector. I drove there, dropped them off and waited an hour or two until they were ready. They also have a shipping option if you're not local. I've used them three times for three different natural gas vehicles.
Jake, nice breakdown. I'm about to do the same job on my 2001 GX. Certainly appreciate the level of detail. Btw, I'm researching the orings. Can you confirm please? Bigger oring Honda part 91301-PDN-A01 (to regulator) and smaller oring Honda part 91305-PMS-A01 (to fuel rail)? Also, the bigger oring replacement looks easy. The smaller one to the fuel rail looks more challenging (ie removal). Any pointers? What type of lubricant did you use? A spray silicone? Thanks again.
This procedure is only valid for the Natural Gas (NGV) models. If you have a gasoline model there is no need to depressurize the gasoline lines. I imagine you can unscrew the gasoline cap
Hello guys I have a 2004 civic GX. It is leaking gas which I can smell and hear when I try to turn the engine. The smell is strong just over the regulator and I can hear the leak there. Is there any one that can help me confirm if I need a new regulator?
Thanks for the Vid got as far as the fuel rail when Tried, took the two bolts holding it in but something was still keeping it from coming up. my rail looks a little different in my 03 lx any suggestions?
bret gardner: the gasoline version has slightly different configuration. I would recommend looking at the parts illustration to see a breakaway view of all bolts and connections from an online parts seller like hondapartsunlimited.com.
I bought fuel injectors for my Honda GX on eBay six or seven months ago for 240 bucks... and now I can't find them on eBay anymore they were from China.... does anybody know a cheap place to buy the fuel injectors?
I buy all my parts from BernadiParts.com They are cheaper than most dealerships but it won't be cheaper than eBay China parts. May I suggest visiting CNGchat.com they have a marketplace and knowledgeable user base that might provide good direction
My 03 gx civic has symptoms of poor fuel economy only 100-150 miles per tank, also get random misfire code and specific cylinder codes, however they come and go, car runs good but a little sluggish and I can feel misfires randomly when I’m idling or my ac is on. Do you think my fuel injectors are at cause?
@@azteccrew5 oh very cool, didnt know there was another version, im changing my fuel injectors very soon, just ordered them from amazon, was gonna pay to have someone change them but im slowly becoming more mechanically inclined, just changed my radiator the other day, gonna try and swap in fresh injectors as well. Cheers! 🥂
@@azteccrew5 I’m having what sounds like your problem- rough irregular idle, hesitation, etc. No codes, no check engine light though. Anything else you think it might be? I don’t think it’s a bad coil, it’s not consistent, and no misfire codes. Interesting that when nose is pointed down hill, idle is much smoother. Recently had filters replaced.
@@garyrush3118 I am not a mechanic by any means but it appears you've replaced most of the parts that address this symptom. Spark plugs, valve adjustment or radiator has an air pocket that needs "burping" ( I saw a RU-vid video on that a while ago). These are the only other probable culprits that I can think of but don't go throwing endless parts at the problem. What is odd to me is your observation that the vehicle idles smoother when pointing down hill.
