Olly has a few small mods to do again and this time, they will be know as Minnie Mods as Minnie the miniature Dachshund is introduced to you all. First up we take a look at some amazing gifts that you have sent in. A Type R drawstring bag and a S2000 front strut tower brace. Then Olly welcomes the newest sponsor to the channel, Reg Plate King, who have provided a show plate for the Buddy Club front bumper on the Honda S2000. Following this, Olly upgrades the Double Din CarPlay head unit in the EP3 Type R to a Kenwood unit. Then, a neat little fuel filer cap holder is installed followed by a walk around of all the cars at the Caffeine & Machine Type R meet from January.

A method I used to fix gapping around the edge of headunit, was different combinations of spacers to get the angle of headunit right to the profile dash.

That's crazy cool you have the civic I traded in for my s2000 years ago it was a blue 04 ep3 I honestly miss the car and wish I kept that over buying the s2k lol.. my 01 s2k just hit 135k miles 😭

That is pretty good going for the S2K though! Not too high considering it's 23 years old! I am glad I am able to have both though as the EP3 is way more practical!

Hey Olly, I’m a long term modified ep3 owner (will never sell it)! The more cars I’ve driven over the years, the more I realise not many cars have that mega addictive feeling that gets right under your skin. Just wondering if you think the S2000 has the same feeling/potential when modded? Or is the ep3 actually a more engaging car?

Love to hear it! I feel the same way! The S2000 in its pretty much standard form that I have it currently is around 80% as good handling wise as the EP3 and I haven't done any suspension mods yet. I would say that the longer gearing makes for a different drive compared to the EP3 but that can be changed with a different final drive. As the S2000 was a more globally sold car, there has been a lot more money spent on development of parts so I can only assume that once I have done everything I want to do to the S2000, it will be better than the EP3. The path to that will be longer however as parts are way more expensive!

Mine should have that bit but for whatever reason, it never has had it in the time I've owned it. Previous owner must have broken it somehow

Thanks man. I will be honest, I don't have enough time or money to make more videos. Also, with the EP3 being basically finished, it is hard to come up with enough videos to even do one video a week.

Plate transforms the s2k ! Could you tell me the size of that plate ? Finding a Double din for an ep3 was always difficult I had a pioneer unit which was fairly decent

Thanks man! Weird how just adding that has made it look more aggressive! The plate size is 230mmX80mm. Or just hit up Reg Plate King and ask them for the same plate (and use my discount). There does seem to be more options nowadays because everyone wants CarPlay or Android Auto.

Hey man. This one is a nice upgrade if you are willing to spend the extra cash. Boots into CarPlay pretty much instantly and the sound quality is much better. No other apps though so it depends what you want to use it for.

Yeah, that has been one of the biggest differences I have noticed compared to the previous one. Overall, it's clearer and more full sounding with a higher volume before distortion too!

Hey man. Mine isn't actually real carbon. It is Hydrodipped so you can just go to your local hydrodip place and get it done the same. I haven't seen real carbon ones for years but you could get your current piece skinned in carbon. Thanks for watching man!

Great vid man! I done the double din upgrade myself years ago. I opted for a unit that resembled the OEM nav unit though with buttons at the side, felt like that would give the car a more OEM+ look inside. My unit is probably about 8 years old now though! ru-vid.comZ78l5l_UVFY?si=H9JcIkDgqDsv4HrS
