Nice driving man. I'd like to ask about your seating position. Do you seat yourself upright or slightly backward? Are the bottom of your wrist exactly aligned with the top part of the steering wheel? I find myself getting lower backpain if my wrist are positioned like that with upright seat. The pain lessens if I seat myself slightly backward but less control over steering. What's your input?
Thank you 😊👍 Generally I have an upright seating position to better control the steering and indirectly have a better feeling about the car when driving on the track 😄 The bottom of my wrist is almost aligned with the steering wheel, when driving on the street I move it a bit back I found the seats of the Type R are just fantastic in terms of comfort but also lateral hold 👌
You need to find a way to bring the steering wheel closer to you, aftermarket boss kit and steering wheel with a spacer on it to allow you to be leaning backwards slightly but have the wheel close enough.
Thanks for the video - I must take my FK8 to the Ring one day. You appear to have the AC on? Do you notice much power loss and increased cooling issues if it is on?
Yes you should definitely drive your FK8 on the ring, it’s a lot of fun 😄👍 Honestly, I didn’t notice/remember that with the AC However, the power loss is there depending on the outside temperature, when it’s 5-10 degrees compared to the 25-30 degrees as in that video, the difference is quite significant (10-15 seconds per lap) - maybe a couple of seconds come from the AC, I should have turned it off 😂🤣 🙃
@@he--ru362 If you have the chance to travel to Europe you should definitely try, there are various car rentals overe there and you can rent a well equipped car 😁🚀
@@NordschleifeTypeR that's interesting, because in my automotive class, our instructor talked about car rentals in Germany, but never thought it was true.... Wowow
@@he--ru362 Yes this is no joke, I’ve already rented different models to try it out, they are well prepared cars with various mods try www.ringfreaks.de or rsrnurburg.com 😁👍
Seemed like the thee toy r your going against has a few more HP than you, or am I seeing that wrong, much love too y’all, great content, glad your back Im action
Hi Christian, thank you 😊 I‘ve met the guy with the white Type R and he has done various modifications like other intake, other intercooler, other exhaust, etc so definitely more horsepower and you see that quite clearly in the straights 🔥
That’s great that you are planning to bring yours on the track, you will have a lot of fun 😁😃👍 I agree regarding the traction control but sometimes it can save my life (or pocket) 😅😅😅 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-85P_-8J9X6I.html
Incredible driving ! But he almost ate the wall coming into that right uphill turn. I know because that's how I wrecked my Type R :( Gotta be extra cautious with uphill turns. It throws the car waaay off into understeer and you skid into the wall or try to recover and end up on the other side of the road crashing into something else
Thank you Jason 😊👍 Nooo you really crashed your Type R there? 🤯 Really sorry to hear that 🥹 Yes in understeer it’s difficult to recover the car - hope you get / have a new Civic again 😃
