Honda CR-V Gen 2.5 Fuel Consumption, Malakas Nga Ba Talaga?

We have a 03 AT, nasa malakas side of the graph siya when it comes to fuel consumption. But I've tried using new, smaller, more updated cars that you can compare with the CRV, I could say that the fuel consumption of the CRV can be justified on how it performs. Overtaking 3 cars in one pull is just a breeze in this beast. Also the transmission of the CRV will learn your driving habit. If you are light footed, it shifts up quickly and if the CRV senses that you are driving fast then it holds the gears. It's been with us for more than 2 years now, we bought it with 74k km on the clock and now it has 86k.

I have 2003 MT. Kept it on pristine condition since it was my college car and now almost a garage queen. Fuel consumption - reasonable especially for light footed drivers. 10-12 kms per liter on open road. Ride - A bit stiff possibly to accomodate 7 passengers - gen 2 models were marketed as AUV to get away from taxes. Performance - K20a have a sweet spot at 4k rpm and that's where the Vtec kicks in - it pulls. Give it a proper TLC and it will last you at least 300k kilometers. The engine is built to lasts.

That consumption is more on the 'long ride'. But as a daily use unit, it is best to test the consumption in an actual scenario.. on a traffic roads in Manila.

Mas if nagpagas ulit kayo sa first stop over para nakita ilan liters nakonsumo. Then divide sa ilan kms nabiyahe from fulltank to first stop over. 😊 Pero all good.. May Crv gen2 din kame and matipid naman if long drive. Pag traffic ayun dun siya malakas talaga sa gas. 😊
