You did that the hard way, I just did mine with some maxi trac LED globes (rebranded version if those ones by the look, same box with different branding) and the little collar that holds the globe into the housing actually twists off so you can install it separately. No tools needed, done them both with headlights in the car still

Got to the headlight removal and you forgot to mention the PIA one(bolt) that mostly requires the bumper cover to come off for easier access(if you have a virgin headlight). There is one located under the headlight(which most people dont re-install due to the location).
Not sure if you led bulbs do it but most with big ballast attached, the base plate that mimics O.E. bulb actually twist off. You install plate to headlight then you insert and twist lock the bulb
I installed led lights on my headlights and my high beams are stuck on high. The lights don’t switch back from low to high. Can you help me out on why?
