WORTH THE $50! Update Your Del Sol Interior! 

Ok I recently finished mine and have a couple things to add for others who maybe ran into the same issues I had. #1 when I went to pull the climate control out to disconnect the plugs from behind, i didn’t have enough slack in the wires to do so like I noticed you did. I remedied this by disconnecting a clip that is connected to the metal frame where the radio goes which basically just tied the wiring harness in place a bit. I’m assuming yours either wasn’t there, already disconnected, or you forgot to mention it. #2 I couldn’t for the life of me get the black front plate that goes on the outside of the climate controls to come off without what I felt like would potentially break it, plus the knob for the temperature slider I felt would be in the way and I couldn’t figure out a way to remove it, instead, I just left it on and was able to disconnect the two bulb sockets from behind the face and swap them out that way. #3 if you ordered your led’s from someone other than superbrightled’s like I did on eBay, the copper connections where the lights go were super tight fit and pain in the ass and required me to pry them open more to create more space(I used a small flat head screwdriver and wiggled it back and forth to open them up more) #4 keeping a rag or something soft under the CC when you removed it to protect your dash from potentially getting scuffed or damaged is something I wish I would have thought of prior. Be as gentle as possible in order to prevent that is also a recommendation of mine. Other than that this video helped me out tremendously and saved me tons of time otherwise It would have been a guessing game for me. Thanks for the upload and help and good luck guys!

There’s a tiny bulb that shines through a little window in the ashtray as well. You should try fitting one down there too. Definitely gonna tackle this mod at some point, maybe not the cluster since thats way more than I’d wanna disassemble.

4:00 you shoulda take off 1 bolt and rotate the handbrake lever, so you wouldnt need to stretch the central console. mine has broken plastic in the corner below the radio, mistake by previous owner.

Good stuff, LED interior makes a huge difference that maybe one day I'll get to it

Do the white bulbs upgrade/replace the turning indicators, high beams, etc or do you need to buy blue, red and green bulbs for those?

Is there nothing else that it needs? No issues doing a direct LED drop in for the bulbs?

Where does the car icon on the left get the lights from ? because on mine that area is completely dark, i have plasma dials in mine, changed all the bulbs on the back to Red LED's to match the Blue/red plasma lights... but that whole area above the clock is completely dark, no light there..

I want to do this on my Miata they look better white but that’s just my opinion

help?! first off i want to say you killed it, your car looks great with the upgrade, but i have a question. my gauge cluster isn't lighting up at all at night. i turn the lights on and it stays pitch black on the cluster. i checked all my fuses and played with the dim switch and they seem to be fine. i just got in those cheap led bulbs that i will replace the older ones with. i got the car a few months ago. i don't know what else it could be if its not the bulbs. help?
