I have been driving Nissan Leaf for 5 years. I was testing Zoe last week in my channel and was so impressed. Next one on my list is Honda E. I'm pretty sure I can challenge this little EV to get over 100 miles. It takes a little while to learn the EV. I wasn't even getting close to claimed figures. After a year I was able to get 90 miles from 24kwh. Which is pretty impressive. Nice honest review my friend 🙂

I have to admit I wasn't very keen on this car at first but I has grown on me a bit. It has that timeless simple look that can also actually make it stand out comparing it to others of its kind.

hello do you have an issue with apple car play using waze or google maps in the honda E? I do, it now doesnt often show the correct location where I am and hence is useless. If you disconnect the phone from the car's wifi network and connect with a cable, does carplay still work?

A really nice car, quite cutting-edge in design and tech but it is one of the shortest range EV's on the market, along with the Mini EV and Mazda MX30 which is a real shame. And it's quite expensive when compared to, say, an MG.

UK streats are so small this car is perfect cann't wait to see it in Canada 😎

Nice useful video. Thx Edit early Feb 2022: I wanted to love this car when I took it out for a test drive but it didn't come up to expectations in a number of key areas. First off, it drove really well and I enjoyed the excellent flat torque curve and turn in, even at speed. No sign of understeer. However, the way I drive, as I enjoy the torque I calculated I'd only be able to do about 60-70 miles per charge. Also, inside it felt rather cheap with some awful 'fablon' type fake wood and scratchy plastic all over the place. Also the seats had next to no lateral support. And then the bombshell once I got back to the dealer - there's just been an increase in the price of £2.5k and no government grant, so a new one is now about £37,000. That's almost Tesla 3 territory. And the Tesla 3 blows it out of the water. Great shame but it's now a non-starter for me.

A really, really useful video for someone looking to buy a Honda e. Especially because I've owned a Zoe since 2017. Though you should have said that it's utter rubbish and then you would have saved me at least £10k!

Can you check if your brake pedal is spongy. Honda agent tells me they all are. Mine can be pushed to the floor with my hand, rather like a heavy clutch pedal. The braking action of the brakes is fine, however. A light touch of the pedal brings the car to a rapid stop, just as you would expect. Car has done 350 miles from new. I look forward to your reply.

Nice review. I live in canada so i do not know if it here or not. I have to look it up. I may never own one if they are here but i have a soft spot hondas. I learned to drive in a 1980 civic. I think that range could a factor for driving one here. An example of this is my commute. I drive 88 to 95 km a day. I live in the country in a small village so everything at abour 50 km away. Time will tell how the try of technology holds up in the long term in various places. I do love to design of it. Simple styling. It looks like the software is easy use as well.

Hey mate, do you know if there is any difference between Honda E 2020 and 2021? I am thinking of getting one but not sure if I should splash extra for a 2021.

This explains why their not selling it here in the US the range so short, like you live in central city maybe worth it. for example new york good buy but doubt it city here ton traffic. you can't take it on a road trips you probably have to stop 4 to 5 times going from Florida to Georgia 600miles so sad looks nice.

What is so appealing about this car other than self parking and its turning radius? For £12k you can get a used BMW i3 which has the same range and a heat pump.

Damn, charging in the UK seems like such a hassle. In Denmark, we have one major provider (Clever) and we pay a flat 90 quid a month for infinite fast and destination charging (unless the electricity price is over 0.3quid/kWh, then we get a small surcharge, but its never that much) and there's chargers EVERYWHERE. I couldn't own an EV in the UK...
