Wow it makes me really appreciate being an Honda Element owner being how easy it is to fix almost anything. Now are you planning to replace the rear speakers as well? And the stock subwoofer? I am looking to get all this work done by a guy and he’s charging $900 for the parts and labor. Very expensive. But I’m looking into kickers
Hi, i do have a video how to replace an after market stereo, subwoofer and an amp or using your stock amp. All labor is really easy. Element design is really good whe nit comes to upgrading all these. 900 is over price just for labor . I hope my videos helps. The rear speaker are same as the front one. Good luck with your project. Any other question fdont hesitate to ask in the comment. 😎👍
How well do these speakers work with the factory head unit? Im just replacing the OEM speakers since they're on the way out in my Element. (I also plan on upgrading the stock sub with the one you used in your subwoofer video as well)
Another good video. Got my head unit installed, now it's speaker time. Like you said, I'm planning on going with Kickers. However, I was wondering if that cable connector you used in this video is universal & if it would also work with a pair of kicker speakers?
I just received my 300w Kickers in the mail today w/ that connector piece & of course it rains, after not raining for like 2 months in a row. 😂 Might try to do them on lunch break tomorrow following this step by step.
Will using the 4 jbl speakers alone with the stock amp be a noticeable difference in bass and loudness from the oem ? I am saving up for the stereo sub
Quick question. I just purchased a new set of JBL gx628 subwoofers for the front and rear pair, along with some 72-7800 speaker harnesses. For that speaker, do I need to upgrade my amp or will the stock amp be fine? I will be sticking with the stock radio.
Hi, you can still use the oem amp already installed in the car but if you install an aftermarket amp the sound and subwoofer bass will be 5 times better. I also have another videl how to install an aftermarket amp. I Hope it helps 😎👍
@@markdesilva7207 I never try mine all the volume app. But i never blew a fise for few months I used until I decided to use an aftermarket amp. And i am happy with the upgrade.
@@Element_lifestyle do u think I could risk the oem amp blowing up with the speakers I’m installing I need an aftermarket amp for me to install this? The thing is I am only replacing the front and rear door pair speakers. Meanwhile, my stereo subwoofer is not working as it stopped working. From the forums I read, the elements stock amp produces 270 watts. So my question is will the stock amp be at risk of blowing up by replacing just all 4 speakers with the JBL gx628s provided I do not replace the stereo subwoofer? They are rated for 60 wattts per speaker. I really do not want to go with an aftermarket amp as I don’t want to be taking up space mounting the amp where ever. And my dad uses the car and I don’t want him seeing that I’m trying to make my element a boom box. Will the stock amp work just for the door speakers at full volume? If so, would adding a kicker stereo subwoofer be ok to add to the stock amp or that would be pushing the stock amps limits? I don’t want to fry the amp
Even if I decide to upgrade the door speakers alone, with the stock and stereo. Will there be a huge difference in sound and bass from just those 4 alone? I know it’s ideal to upgrade it to an aftermarket amp and stereo but given my circumstances I am unable to do that.
Well it turns out I when I receive the jblgx628, they were a mother sticking chore to mount. i ended up returning them as they needed extensive modification which I didn’t want to go through. I am looking into the pioneer tsg650s. Now these speakers being in inferior quality compared to the kickers and jbl, will they sound better than the stock door speakers, significantly? Or not by much? Are they more compatible with the stock amp than the kickers would be?
Will the stock amp be able to handle the 4 JBL gx628 speakers? My stereo subwoofer is currently not working so idk if upgrading the stereo subwoofer to kickers will be pushing the limits of the stock amp.?
@@Element_lifestylewith the JBL-gx628s you say it’s safe to say that adding the kicker(same one in ur vid) stereo(center) subwoofer will be pushing the limits of the stock amp? Or if I am going to stick with the stock amp I’m better off with just installing the 4 door speakers? The reason being is this is my work truck and I don’t have space for an aftermarket amplifier as most of them are bigger than the stock one.
I had the kicker subwoofer and all 4 speakers upgrade. I used the stock amp and didnt have any problems. But when i installed the amp the sound and boom diference was huge.
I’m sure it did. Will changing all 4 door speakers the jbl gx628s(not including the stereo sub and tweeters) make a huge difference compared to the stock speakers? Will these bass from those alone be a noticeable improvement? And also when u were using the stock amp and radio, did u notice any distortion at high/max volume? I’m sure low to mid bass was ok but how about the high?
