My Element was having some slipping problems early in the year. It was sort of shudder from gear 2 to 3. Eventually it sort of smoothed out - sort of . Then one day I started off the drive and noticed it was starting again but as I kept driving it was now slipping from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. I got to my destination thinking it'll just warm up later - wrong. On the drive home it was slipping even at the light trying to get into 1st. I would have to turn the car off and back on for it to gear into 1 and as lucky if it would gear in 2 - eventually I was just driving in gear 1 - at every stop light it was luck if she shifted into 1st at all. Again, I'd have to turn her off and back on to get her in gear. I luckily made it home and here she sits in my driveway for about 2 months till now. I've seen in the forums about doing the transmission drain and fill 3x - I've seen about changing out the vtec and solenoids. So I decided to give a try -
