I am in Georgia so I know hard clay soil. Even my bigger tiller needs some shoveling to get the tines to dig in. Sometimes I have to start with a pick axe before I can even stand on a shovel. This little Honda does way better than I expected on the hard compact stuff. I had another brand of this type of tiller and it would not touch the bad stuff. It is not the choice for the first time tilling hardpan. But half way had shovel to loosen it up some and this will do the job.
@@t.caseyclarke7729 I bought a Honda FG-110 at Christmas. Never looking back. It’s an awesome piece of machinery. I also planned to use the dethatching and aerating tools, but found out those don’t work on st Augustine lawns like we have in the gulf coast area. It’s a shame, but the tiller is still amazing.
@@hixnada8278 Ya know, I've been looking at those. I currently have Stihl 4 mixers. Good machines but they wear you out. Just not balanced very well in my opinion, and still require 2 stroke fuel.
