I have used bikes like apache rtr 180 , Hero honda Achiever , Unicorn , fz 250. RE 350 classic & now cb 350 Dx. I have tried many engine oils from the respective companies like TVS . Honda , Royal enfield etc. Being a medium to long distance rider I never satisfied from company oils & faced mainly Cylinder kit issues due to over heating. So I switched on to oils from Servo , ( Castrol, Shell - fully synthetic oils ) Now for the last 6 years Iam using only Motul oils for my 3 bikes .I used 10w- 40 , 10w - 50. 300v 10w - 40 etc according to the bikes. ( Eg: For rtr 180 - 10w -50 is the best choice ). Now , for my cb 350 also Iam using the same. Motul 10w - 40 ( As you correctly stated heat range one grade upper ) Waiting for long hrs in work shop.... I learned how to change oil, Spark plug , Air fiter , Oil filter etc with help of a technician with my tools. Thanks for the video...
Sir, your videos come after a long break sometimes, but is always a treat to watch. Luv to see you back after a long break. And please take care of yourself.
Whenever you replace the Engine Oil, always replace the oil drain bolt washer. Use the Engine oil grade as recommended by Manufacturer. Honda Engineers do thorough studies before making the schedule. To keep the vehicle warranty intact please follow the Manufacturers instructions.
Right choice of 10W 40 oil Sir. During summer you may try 10W 50 oil for better engine protection. A word of caution, avoid buying SHELL oil online due to counterfeit issues of late. Best wishes.
Thanks for the advice on the online orders, touch wood haven't faced any issues so far, but I agree there is a lot of scope for tampering online. What I generally do is, look out for seller and if it is by Cloudtail (Amazon) only then go for it. Regarding the 50 hot viscosity, moving 2 steps above the manufacturer recommended grade can be little hard on the engine as the engine design in terms of the internal tolerances (gaps between 2 metal parts) is made to suit a particular viscosity. A thicker oil will put load on the engine oil pump and other seals and also result in slight (only slight) mileage drop.
Raj bhai, sad to hear about your back pain. Hope you would have recovered by now... I had a query regarding front shocker oil seal damage. My front oil seal seems damaged and since I'm in a remote Gujarat village, Bigwing Service center is not accessible. If I have to buy locally, which oil seal should be purchased ? Pls advise and thanks a lot for your informative videos...
Bro thanks for this video. I was worried about the grade of oil Honda providing. Such a big engine and only they’re going for 10w30 all because they have that stock only.
Hi thank you for the vid. Where did you get the Honda genuine parts from ? Honda dealer from whom I bought CB350Hness says he will not provide spare parts and that I have to get replacement at service center only. I have to pay labour charges, GST aswell besides taking my vehicle to service centre and spending 3-4 hrs time.
I have a problem with my handle, it was tight and after loosing it from the service centre handle has a vertical movement whenever I ride on slightly rough rode, any solution for this issue that you can recommend, I have already visited the service centre the problem still not resolved.
Oil filter you can buy Honda Shine SP oil filter. But buy the original one. Spark plug - Use Apache RTR double point spark plug. Available at any TVS service center or even local spare parts shop. Air filter - Unfortunately this is not available at local shop or even online. You will need to convince Honda Bigwing service center to sell over the counter.
@@RajkaGaragesir my bigwing showroom is not selling any spares even small pieces like oil filter and o ring for oil filter and even washer for drain bolt i told them I can pay extra but they would not sell. Last visit they billed me for my CB350RS servicing ₹5200 saying that and this has to be changed before that ₹4100. I want to service my bike from now on. Can you pls give o- ring size of for the oil filter and washer size of drain bolt. That would be a great help thankyou.
Don't use the NGK make Appache Spark plug, in my case it broke the neck after a long ride, luckily the local mechanic could. Remove the threaded piece by using one special tool, otherwise engine Head removal only can remove the threaded spark plug part, Apache NGK plug temperature range is not comparable for CB350,
You can easily become a technician at Honda 🤩. Or you can build a motorcycle servicing company.... Very few people esist who take such a good care of their bikes...
Hello Sir, I hope you are fit and well. Once You did Graphene coating, how's it now ? I am taking delivery of my Honda Cb350 RS on friday. Should i do it ? Is it worth ? And how much it costs ? Please let us know !
Just a question sir, Since Big Wing does not offer you to procure parts from them through counter sale, can you share the service parts which are used by other Honda Models. Like air filter, oil filter, spark plugs etc. Your opinions would be welcomed.
Thanks mate.. there is a particular purpose of washing the filter. Check my video on the Highness struggle in Laddakh/high altitudes for that Cheers and Happy Riding 🤘
Hello Raj Bhai..! Arvind here as 6VN. Sorry to hear about your backache, hope you're feeling better now. Great to see your video, 1. Redwing service, will be very very helpful for many Urban/Rural CB Owners like myself. Any thoughts on how Honda can track Warranty in case of such non Bigwing service or even in your case, self service? 2. 10w-40 grade as we've discussed in deep detail and you've enriched me by sharing your knowledge in past, So glad you're covering it this series to help many others. Would recommend you adding a point, Bigwing are most against using own engine oil and also Throttle FS oil is also available in 5W-30 at few Bigwing, so it's better to ask 10w-30 during service 3. I get it's cheap to replace but Viscous type Air filter, leaving Honda recommendation, how would one judge if it's really worn out? (Bit of a Green conscious me, don't let me unnecessarily throw useful waste 😬) Wishing all viewers here (in Raj bhai sons cute voice), Happy riding🤟🤟🤟
Bro, one of the major difference I feel is bike is not overheating in traffic even if you are constantly riding in 2nd and 3rd gear compared to what it was happening earlier. Gear shifting is also smooth compared to semi synthetic oil. The only flip side i felt is mileage has dropped by couple of kmpl. But that's ok as still getting 39kmpl.
The flyscreen offered by autopappa and carbon racing have a fitting in which the upper allen bolt is removed and a extended bolt is added on the fork lock to fit the sheild. Is this 100% safe?
I haven't seen the CR one, but the autopappa fitting has a collared washer(thoughtful design) for the bolt and also extended one, so it is fine to be used.
Bro, Is there any alternative avaliable for the Air Filter of Highness from other brand? So that incase if it's not available at Honda then we can buy from other brand service centers.
Yes buddy, I just did 1st free service in the service center and have been maintaining my CB on my own just like I have been doing to any machine I have owned till date as I too belonged from the automotive service industry untill some years ago. I will recommend doing it on your own if you know someone who is skilled and experienced and so long as you can manage to get counter sale of parts from Bigwing. Also one more factor to consider is your confidence level on the machines reliability as you are covered in warranty for 48k kms or 3 years whichever is earlier if you continue to service from Bigwing even after the free service is over.
Dear I have cbr250r abs bsv4 , I live in Kashmir, which oil grade would be perfect for winter in minus -1 to -5 and for Summers as well 35 to 40 degrees Please tell me about Yamaha MT 03 I wat to buy it or Duke 390 or triumph speed which is best
From 1 week I have observed in my bike, after riding for a bit I sensed some smell from engine after switching it off. Now the weather is full of fog and rain, is the smell due to wearing off moisture or is it something else please clarify?
