I think the one big thing I like about Harley is that they have a lot of these cool events. I like how they sound as well. Like you said, I’d probably go buy the other if this puppy hit the ground. But luckily so far it hasn’t. I think it was funny when the recall first came out. Everyone was freaking out and suggesting I go to honda ASAP. Like chill everyone. Thanks for posting. Being a long time Wing rider I’m not worried about it. Difference between HD and Honda is they are addressing the issue. My Pan Am HD wouldn’t do squat, my dealer had to fight to get a new fuel pump, a common issue on the PA. If my wing blows I’ll still get another one.

I wouldnt worry....Honda will make it right for you am sure...

It is surprising there are two issues going on with the Gold Wings. That said, it is surprising there are ANY issues going on with the Wings. But let's face it - we can't expect perfection, and as bikes and cars get more and more sophisticated both technologically and mechanically, there are going to be issues with any model or manufacturer. The question is, how many relative to other manufacturers and models. I'm betting Honda/GW is still at the very low end. In recent months, I've seen a handful of Valk owners on our forum who've made the move from Valk to Gold Wings. Even Rick has his for sale and wants one. Course he has two Harleys in the garage as well, LOL! A recall on a part or two does not a bad machine make. Admittedly, my eyebrows would be raised higher if this were happening to Harley, but if we just look at the track records, who can blame me? Not ONE of the Hondas I've ever owned has had a recall on any of their parts. Call me biased! Because I AM! Now about that casual Friday incident, just use your common sense going forward. I think your employer will understand after all you've done and endured for them! LOL! Tongue click and fingers pointed back atcha!

Is there a big tourer without issues? I really liked my 08 Goldwing, but i love that v-twin sound of my Harley.

I think it's important for people to realize that everything that has ever made manufactured or created was built by the lowest bidder.

I rode a Victory for 10 years before I got my Wing, the Vic was problem free until the end. I don't expect any less reliability from my 18 Wing, I'm not worried about the recalls, most gen6 Goldwings run like tops and plenty are solid with over 100k miles. When I get my recall letter I'll have the issues taken care of. I haven't been interested in any HD since 2012 but the new batch of Greezer Glides has got my attention, especially that CVO Road Glide S/T.. 😎

So... Your torn between the copperhead and one of the big Indian chief models? I was not a fan of the issues Indian had in the past but from the newer ones that are out now they do really seem pretty awesome and the 100 plus horsepower on the chief isn't too bad either... But that copperhead is a very very nice looking machine and it will definitely turn heads

Issues on anything built during the so-called pandemic I believe is because of the hostile work environment that it caused. My 2023 FXST had to have a few warrenty jobs done. When a persons job is in the air every day at a plant work quality falls short. that wing motor sound beautiful. stay in the wind👍👍👍

what bike or car company does not have recall let him throw the first stone, Honda is and will always be my preference for motorcycles. You should stir the pot and change your outtro to "lets try not to be assholes to Harley riders"

There are more Harley Davidsons than any other brand. There are also way more Harley Davidson dealerships and independent shops that will work on Harley Davidsons than any other brands. There is also way more aftermarket parts and accessories available for Harley Davidsons than any other brand. I have had at least 1 bike from all of the 4 Japanese manufacturers. I have have several Hondas. Right now I have 2 older Harley Davidsons and 1 Honda. I ride what I like. I think everyone should ride what they enjoy riding. To me enjoyment is the number one reason to ride.

Hahaha Casual Firday. Having something dependable is a huge deal. All makes have issues. The trick is how the company handels it when they happen. Make or brake for me.

There’s one confirmed issue. Fuel cell impeller. In April Honda will communicate with customers. I know Gold Wing Doc went on a tear but it’s only from Forum banter. Honda has not confirmed this latest. Nor has my dealership here DFW. The nations largest volume Wing dealership. It’s a fire run wild. Until it’s confirmed by credible legitimate sources. I’ve owned 3 Wings since 84. All have been awesome. I appreciate Harleys and Indians. But they so are also plagued with their own idiosyncrasies. Some known and some as you live them long enough.
