I just followed your advice and did this. I weight 180lbs and went with the 20mm setup. I think the 15mm would be better for me (not tried). The 20mm has a great sporty feel, and corners better. Rides way better. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!!
I Just took some aluminum Rod 12x6mm thick and bend that around the shock. Just bend it to circle with enough gap to Put it on, When on just tighten around the shock. Works great, leave the cut behind the shock and you wont notice that. Didn't even have to dismantle the shock. 12mm was enough, and I weigh 108kg (240lbs). Greetings from Finland.
Ingenious my friend. A simple and inexpensive solution to the Monkey’s weakest link. Please could you tell me who supplied your tail tidy (fender eliminator) - it looks extremely neat.
looks like a lot of work. I found some used shocks and changed them. but would like to have red springs. but the chrome looks good also. thanks for the video.
They are fairly capable of fire roads and dirt trails. I wouldn't trust them in deep mud but tje stock tires work like balloon tires in sand. They are competent as long as you keep it reasonable.
