Video details how I replaced the clock spring/cable reel in a 2008 Honda Odyssey to restore cruise control functionality.

Thanks - I just did a 2005 Odyssey and it was almost identical . The only difference is that it was just a tilt wheel and not one that moved in and out. But everything else was identical.

How will you know if your clock spring is bad? My select and info buttons are not working on my 07 touring with 145k miles, and I've replaced the switch (no change). Can a bad clock spring cause this?

All the buttons on the steering wheel go through the clock spring; usually when one or more stop working, that's the reason. There's probably more conclusive tests you can do to rule out the 1-in-100 situations that are not related to the clockspring, but getting into all that may be more trouble than it's worth.

In this case I salvaged the part from another Odyssey, since that's what the customer wanted. I think new cable reels are still available from Honda though.
