Honda Pilot vs Subaru Ascent 

We're on the same boat. We're about to pull the trigger on a 2023 Ascent, but the new redesigned pilot is coming out, and boy does good.

Good to see both these models with a smaller Infotainment screen and reliable tactile buttons rather than the massive and unsafe infotainment screens car makers are pushing out the the endangerment of the drivers.

Just bought the Ascent. One more thing I will mention that price point for Subaru is also lower so that’s also a big advantage. Even if both cars were same in all categories getting for lower price matters. Also, when I drove Honda Sport which is lowest trim, did not find feature similar to Auto Vehicle Hold. It was very important for me. Remember these comments coming from a previous Honda Clarity PHEV owner who loved it but needed a 3 row SUV. Thumbs up to Subaru Ascent 👍

My ascent just fits in my garage. Any longer and I couldn’t put it in my garage.

Question: Not impressed with Pilot new design on 3.5l v6. Long life engine? 2.4l turbo or 3.5l v6 22 pilot has the SOHC 3.5l which we have 306k on our Odyssey, however, I heard the boxer is better?

Let’s see performance in the snow & rain. Subaru is safer and will perform well beyond the Honda’s capability…any Honda for that matter. It doesn’t take much to bump the horse power on the Subaru (it’s a WRX FB25 engine). It’s amazing how much hp you can get out of a 4 cylinder & turbo. I’ll take safety and AWD performed over looks, gas mileage, 4 cylinder over V6, comfort any day. Subaru ftw!

You forgot to mention the 3rd row seats. Which is better? Can adults sit comfortably?

Subaru has been going to dark front grills and ditching chrome. I’m a chrome lover, and hope this trend is very temporary!!!

If you are a Subaru's salesman you do not have the integrity to do a fair comparation.
