I cant thank you enough, I did this to mine today brother and it works beautifully no more rattle here. Your channel is becoming one of my favorites on the tube keep up the good work.
You are more than welcome and I'm glad you got something out of the videos. Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully we will get better and better from here.
Worked well on a 2023 Pioneer 1000-5 Trail edition. Slightly different single post vs the u-shaped post he shows so no slit needed. The 5/16 vacuum hose slipes over top like a sock then zip tie same. Thanks a ton for the quick fix.
I just did your fix…works great. Thank you! I didn’t realize how bad the bed rattled…what a difference. Toms already gobbling here in Idaho…mild winter. Thanks again.
Glad you got some use out of the video. Those rattles can be pesky to get rid of but this little trick usually works. That's awesome to hear. We have some getting tore up right now. Our afternoon temps is hitting 60 and these toms are loving it. Your welcome and thanks for watching.
Your welcome. I totally agree. Mine is a 2018 model and yours being a 2021 that's three years that they have had to fix the issue. maybe they need to rubber coat the latch or something. Thanks for watching and good luck with the fix.
I did this on mine but the zip ties won’t stay on the tubing from all the beating and banging around. They worked themselves off in a fairly short time.
Your welcome. Just knowing it helped one person is worth the research, time, filming and editing a video. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for your support
I done a similar fix but even easier. Just slide a piece of hose over the latch pins on the front of the bed. They will probably eventually wear out but just slip them off and slide two new pieces on. Took care of my squeak and rattle plus it's quieter when you slam the bed down.
Great video, I don't have any bed rattles yet, but my passenger door is driving me crazy, I've tried adjusting the hinge up and down a million times, just won't stop. I'm going to give that a try, see if it works on the door, thanks !!
Thank you. I had to adjust the rubber snubber on the passenger side door all the way out and then slam it to eliminate the rattle. But i'm changing some door bushings out that i think will help a lot. I will do a install video on it and we will see how they hold up. Thanks for watching
Check the bottom of the door. My door would hit with the inside plastic where the gas cap is. If you close the door and fire up your Pioneer then look down, you will see where the door hits /meets the plastic. I had to put a piece of weatherstrip with adhesive to stop it from hiting. That fixed my door rattles along with adjusting the door grommet ( the one you turn to adjust). Good luck!
Hi, can you please clarify if the vacuum tubing I need is 1/4" ID or 5/16 ID? In the video, you mention yours was 1/4" center (ID?) and 5/16" OD, but that doesn't appear to match what you're actually holding, not to mention the wall thickness would have to be 1/32" if it really was 1/4" ID and 5/16" OD. Just want to make sure I get the right stuff, as my Pioneer lives in a remote location and I don't have ready access to a store if I get the wrong stuff. I'm looking forward to trying this fix as the bed rattle is driving me crazy!
Sorry for the confusion on the video. I also made another mistake it was actually fuel line. It is a 5/16 if outer diameter measure .55. I measured the piece that I had extra. Once again I apologize and thank you for watching.
My 1000-5 does not have any bad "rattles". Instead, something squeaks constantly and I can't figure out what it is. I think it is a bolt or nut within the roll cage system. Any thoughts?
Some of the rattles sound like squeaks but you could have something loose on the cage. I would check all the cage bolts then adjust each door stopper out at least one turn. Also I would check all the roll bar clamps that attach the roof and cage. They are simple to adjust by just opening them and turn the clamp handle clockwise and snap it back shut.
Bought my 2016 model 1000-3 last week and thanks to you this was my first modification/improvement. Now I need to figure out how to eliminate the roof from rattling?? Because when I stop and while the machine is idling the Honda roof cover rattles pretty bad… any suggestions? thanks! Love your videos
Great machines. Do you have a factory honda roof? If so just unlatch the clamps and turn the handle one full revolution. Then snap it shut. Do this in all the places it’s rubbing. If it’s a metal roof or aluminum. What I do is take it loose and get the thick weatherstripping tape that’s sticky on one side and foam on the other.clean the roll bar off with alcohol. Then apply the sticky side to the roll bar and foam side up. Reattach the roof and you should be good to go for a long time.
Yes I have a video of the front and the rear seat covers on my Honda pioneer playlist. Here’s the front seat link Honda pioneer 1000-5 seat covers. Here’s the back cover video . Honda pioneer 1000-5 AND 700-4 Rear seat covers.
There is several things you can do. 1st step. there is a rubber snubber on each door that screws out for tension against the door frame. 2nd step is make sure your doors are hitting the metal striker or latch. it can also be adjusted up or down to help with a tighter fit. 3rd step is change your door bushing. RB3 has a great bushing replacement. here's my video link of changing the door bushings out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S6h_H5QZtLg.html
Sounds like the shifting cable has kinked or come out of its sleeve. Follow the routing of the cable to see if its popped out of a holder or the outer cable is damaged
How do you load a deer in the bed of the1000-5 by yourself ? My old bike I would throw the winch cable over the cab and pull in the bed. Don’t see this happening with 1000-5 full roof
It’s very hard to do by yourself almost impossible that’s why I built a carry all that fits in the hitch receiver of my pioneer. It really helps with the height that I have to pick up the deer for loading. I will leave the link to the carry all at the end of this message. I had also thought about mounting a 12volt smaller winch to the mid roll cage bar to help with loading a deer but I haven’t explored it any further yet. Here the video link. Hey Jamie, You probably have already seen my video this fall but I have went to the SB WOOD AND WELD HONDA PIONEER BED WINCH. Check these videos out if you haven't.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7txrdugXeT8.html and this is the install video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_KwzE8ciauQ.html
I am going to use my Warn drill winch - hauls 750 lbs so should be no problem - back winch hook attaches to a strap I hook to my floor rings on my 2024 P 1000 3
So far mine has held up since I released this video. I had my bed opened a lot this passed hunting season and I have not noticed any rattling. I will inspect mine and do a review on it soon.
After 52 years of being a large volume dealer they terminated my dealership because I ran down BLM while I was watching them stomp and burn the American flag . So buy you a Honda and remember they sided with BLM you should feel good about that shtt
I hate that you was put in that situation but A man has to stand up for what he believes in. My hats off to you for standing your ground but hate you had to pay the price for doing so. I don't agree with anyone burning a American flag and I do not condone BLM. I have owned Honda for years and they are extremely reliable machines and you owning a dealership at one time I'm sure you would agree with that. I hate what happened to your business and what our world has came to in political issues.
Glad to hear you are enjoying your can am. I guess its a personal preference on machines. They are all superior in one way or another. My cousins have can ams and use them for hunting and recreational riding and don't have many issues besides snapping axles and belt issues but that is also when there roughing them up at trail parks and rock climbing. For me personally its Honda. Thanks for watching
