HeartoftheSCALAB It also shows the strength of the S2000. It has a great chassis if you can drive it like that with mostly just using one hand for steering.
***** Do you even race bra? Powersteering helps with handling if you take it off than you have to handle the car rougher whitch makes steering tougher and you feel the track better( in my opinion). He's using both hands in the corners to feel the grip and suspension of the car. you dont have to have both hands to look cool and think youre a racer your driving does. This dude already knows tha track and has a good car and setup to drive backwards if he wants to. Jelousy is a killa.....haters
benzfen Using the 9 and 3 hand position on the steering wheel is meant for the road to make the driver instructors happy. On the track, it means nothing. You pick whatever hand position you're comfortable and good with. Also, this guy is driving the car pretty well I have to say. He saved it a few times from going around backwards and drives the track well. I'd like to see you do the same.
Calm, cool, relaxed, and knows his car and rules of the track well.....Awesome driver! But I'd be scared shitless doin that kinda speed in a open top car without a helmet
"Deuche-bro in ripped jeans does quick lap of Nurburgring without realizing how driving with one hand in an open-top roadster on an extremely fast track could turn him and his fellow bro into taco meat in a matter of seconds"
Why is he driving one hand most of the time? Money ≠ brain. The best example of bad and irresponsible driving. Especialy when u drive such killer like s2k. Thats why most of these cars are wrecks.
Bozon Higgsa you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. at all. its nothing but cliche to say that anybody who's driving single handed is basically an unsafe driver. but i dont really care what you think.
CaliPatriot88 No problem with the cams so far. They have been on the car for 15.000kms, they were checked recently and they have no wear at all. They have been installed since the car was running the stock ECU till now, running an AEM EMS. They work like a charm and i absolutely recommend them.
Who cares if he didn't use 2 hands, did he die? No. Did he hurt anybody else? No. Just watch the video and enjoy it, he's not going to get anything from your comments if he even reads them.
Driving with a roof down does look fun. I would have rolling safety lingering in the back of my head though while I race at those speeds. He is very skilled. Just wished he would use both hands though. You never know when you might suddenly need that additional control in a situation. Everyone crashes, regardless of how skilled you are so minimizing that risk for the people racing with you is not too much to ask.
... alternatively you could buy a Gallardo to try and make yourself look like you can drive! One handed stylee is not to my liking but he is squeezing everything possible out of that little car. Sensational lap.
yeah, you might be a good driver but no-one will take you serious if you don't wear a helmet and don't have a roll cage, it looks so amateur... (also keep your hands on the steering wheel, it was cool in the seventies ;)
Mr Nick you beter focus on your driving still and left the serious driving to serious guys !I assume you are one of those experts who know everything. You should know that every driver have a different driving still. This guy drive f..ing grate. If he is ok to drive with one hand than what is the problem? You can drive with just one finger or with the booth hands it doesn't mean a thing, you must have idea in your head how to drive.also you should know that the driver is in the best whan he is the most comfortable.Helmet and rollbar in no case can help you to be more serious or better. Even you are good driver or you are NOT!!!
buy some driving lessons for your dad and dont take example of him. both hands always on the wheel! there is no way u can react better on sudden sytuations with one hand. it is fact.
There are never enough kidney donors. We need more one handed drivers who don't watch the road. Where is his cell phone? Great to watch though. I'd go with in a second.
I just realised how fast Gan-san is, the timing he had on a bone stock s2000 is lower compared to this with a fully tuned s2000, professional drivers are on a whole other level. But good driving no doubt!
F**k 1 minute and I'm living! Before build a track car learn how to drive on track! On hand and disparagingly changing gear like "look who I am" is stupid as hell!
Tbh that was a pretty safe lap, the driver obviously knows the track well and left plenty of room when catching and passing other vehicles( ive seen much worse) and as for the 1 handed thing i think he was trying to prove a point on how well the car handled, looked really cool although i am a 2 handed guy lol.
no question, the dude can drive but when you compare his driving in this video with his driving in another video you can see that he wants to be extrem cool before his friend. he got his right hand more time on the "shifting tool" than on the "wheel"... dont know the english word. sorry for my terrible english. also i could vomit when i see when he looks to the other dude. i just want to say: drive save and give a fuck about what your friends think about your driving style. in the end you have the better lap time ;)
Everyone's bashing Marc. F cause of that badass one handed driving. Acting like he wouldn't be quick enough to correct clearly he did corrected with one hand no problem lol
Good lap. Just dunno why you are one handed all the time. Just use both hands. Better control and no risk to others. Even if you think you are in control, if you suddenly have to make a quick correction you can do it better with 2 hands
I think you have an excellent car. Good handling Excellent driving but you are playing with fire and with your friend´s life by not using a helmet no rolling cage no racing suit no air bag on the steering wheel. How can it be posible that the organizers let you drive under those poor safe conditions?
That's what I was saying, here in the states we can't even go in with out a helmet. Maybe in other countries their more lenient. Been seeing allot of Nurburgring videos and most don't wear helmets or use cages.
+romeomike76 not sure what type of event this was but the ring is a public road here, you do not need to have anything except a street legal car. again, this may have not been that situation and I agree with your comments but you can drive on with anything depending on the setup of the day.
To everyone who's clearly jelly as hell commenting on this dudes driving: A. You clearly have no room to talk as you're not this guy. B. This was put up for enjoyment, not for your criticism. I'm pretty sure this guy knows that the fuck is good...
head is tilted i know its not good but he has 1 eye still watching ahead, he also isn't just a normal everyday driver going on there for a track day lap he is testing a Time attack S2000 an is a Time attack driver,
I bet these guys were Turks, no helmet, racing with one hand on the wheel, the driving style it's all there, at least they had their seat belts on. XD Btw good skill the driver knows his car very well.
I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this video. Great lap run, superb driving, the driver knew exactly what he was doing. Kudos on those driving skills. Great choice of car for the run too.
