Dude this is a godsend - this whole series build is my exact bike and I’m getting inspiration together for these exact mods! Hope you have some of these bits available when I get through this series and get my hands dirty!
Dude any of us Phantom guys should appreciate this channel. Being that Harley cant figure out how to make an affordable barhopper Im just gonna bob my baby out
Thanks for doing these, I have a 2012 Phantom. Looking forward to swapping the ghastly fork covers for gaiters. I’ve been listening looking at e-tanks and trying to figure out which ones fit, I’m glad you’re making one!
First off I love your products TJ, and your videos are awesome as well. I have a 2010 Phantom so I'm looking forward to seeing more videos on the phantom alone. I personally like the stock tank but that's just me. The mock up tank in this video is ok but I like when they wrap down and around the backbone, again that's just my personal preference. I do love the license plate and tail light side mount and love that tail light as well, looks kind of vintage or old school. Keep it up man 🍻
The tank is cool but need to be a little lower over the backbone - possibly higher tunnel. Something tells me im going to be giving you a lot of money lol. I would love to see a daymaker headlight upgrade, or other custom headlight options and maybe some custom fenders?
TJB! Not feeling the tank, although I am new too all of this. I've been watching/catching up on all your videos for the past few months. I have my eyes set on a 06 VT spirit. I've surfed your shop page multiple times. Come this spring my project will begin. I'll keep watching and share with you my build!
Hey TJ, Bike looks awesome great choices all around, the new tank looks great the way it is, I would suggest cleaning up under the seat by utilizing the space on the swing arm square. Thanks for sharing.
So excited for the tank ! Dropping the new tank over the backbone would probably hide the hideous wiring and tubes under the tank, but if it's easily addressed and pretty straight forward to clean up, i say leave the tank on top. I love the way the new tank is sitting, been waiting for someone (you obviously) to make a bolt on or minimal fab work replacement tank for the 750 shadow cause that thing is thicc, in a bad way. Either way, i'm buying. Keep up the good work !
oh this is great. I just bought a 2004 Shadow Aero that is about halfway 'done' compared to what I'd like. So I'll be curious to see what you do with the bike, and if/how you do some specific things
So you need to do a whole video on how to raise handlebars including how to source and install longer brake lines, throttle cable(s) and clutch cables. AND for extra credit you should sell bundles of these cables with the matching sheathes on your web store so people can buy the appropriate parts directly from you and watch your videos on installs for it. Raising handlebars is a very popular mod and currently you’re like one of the only specialist boutique web stores that sells mods for this product but you DONT sell all products for raising handlebars. Even the one handlebar product in your web store is constantly out of stock. Anyway just trying to be helpful. In retail an empty shelf is a sale lost. Bought my z bars on Amazon cause I couldn’t buy them here. Now I’m shopping elsewhere for appropriate 6 over and 12 over cables and it’s a chore sourcing this. Would gladly have bought a package here from you for a markup. Keep the shiny side up guys!
Love watching you vids bro. I have a 2002 Honda shadow spirit 750dc and been using your parts to make it my own. The only place to get aftermarket parts for Hondas. 🤘
I really like that peanut thank, if you can make one to fit the stock configuration it'll be awesome, if you can't then explain a little bit how to do it. I would like to know how you moved or relocate the fuel pump, and how to mount the electronic tank. Also, it'll be awesome a riserless bolt on handlebar, like that one but without the risers, lol (kinda self explanatory). Anyway, I think I'm asking to much in just one comment, but I definitely have other ideas that might bring up on future videos. Keep it up.
100% agreed. I think the taillight assembly is the single thing on a shadow that is just so out of place. To each their own, personally i never did like the side mounted tail lights and plates. If i were to do sidemount tail lights i would want a light mounted on each side. and most likely replace the whole rear assembly with just a license plate bracket and light for the plate. possibly one or two of those tiny like 1 inch tail lights under the license plate.
I like the gas tank...Would be good if it was a flow from the tank to the seat..without a massive gap in between...I also like the electric box but I'd use it more for storing tools if that's possible...the light cluser I seen a LED light brake light turn signal all in one that fit's under the rear feder..so would be interesting to see if your changing the rear federal as it is quiet gastly....I've been toying with the idea off sprints on the front end look wise would look awesome I think but not sure on the handling never rode with a spring front end...looking forward to this as I have the same bike...
Hey tj, i love your stuff but i do have a question. I recently bought a krator fairing for my 2022 shadow phantom and i bought Memphis shield bracket kit and it sits the fairing on the bike. My only issue is the headlight sits too low and deep inside the fairing. Do you have a headlight extension kit that could work for my fairing? The headlight is also the original stock housing in case you needed the info. I would love to order one if it could help relocate the headlight to fit better in the fairing.
It never mentioned anything about replacing the rear fender! What did you do back there? On the first episode someone had chopped up the original one...
I installed the 2 pin electronic flasher with the led bulbs mentioned in your comments below on my 2008 Honda shadow aero 750. I used the one below led bulbs for the front turn signal GLL 1157 BAY15D 5730 20 SMD Amber/White Switchback Turn Signal LED Light Bulbs 3.8W 12V LED Super Bright 600 Lumens 6000-6500K Brake Light Lamp (Pack of 2) I used the one below led bulbs for the rear turn signal iBrightstar Newest 9-30V Super Bright Low Power 1157 2057 2357 7528 BAY15D LED Bulbs with Projector replacement for Turn Signal Lights and Brake Lights, Amber Yellow After installing everything, my front turn signal flashes one at a time but both the rear turn signals flashes at the same time. Can you tell me why it is happening?
The tank tells me that you would want a Harley Sportster or chopper instead. Tastes are arbitrary, as i would left the original, But my attitude would be to restore to a running bike. I see you as an artist, and the bike , your canvas and colors - So Ill be watching -
So I purchased a similar brake light/plate mount and it’s 3 wires red/yellow with green stripe and black I’m struggling with the old system and making it work any help?
not at this point. theres a HUGE fuel pump in there that just destroys the space for electronics. =/ you think we should make some kind of e-tank option for the phantom?
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS absolutely! The 2015 phantom is my current bike it looks dope on the one you have here in the video. Working on my bike by myself, already added a few of your products with just me and RU-vid. More of a visual learner. Would like to see the gas tank options on this bike that you have on the site like the mustang one in particular caught my interest. Anything bolt on. Really appreciate the videos and products.
I have a 2012 honda shadow phantom 750 it's not getting spark at the plug iv checked everything I was wondering if both sides of the plugs on the coils are supposed to have 12v power I used a test light iv used and ohms meter everything else seems to work I check the coils everything is good but nothing is coming out of the coils
That sucks man! Im sorry but we really cant diagnose bikes over youtube comments. the only thing i can think of is one of your safety interlocks has a problem, the neutral safety switch, clutch safety switch or kickstand safety switch. refer to the service manual for those circuits. That however may not be the issue. sorry i couldnt be of more help, if you cant figure it out, get it to a shop! good luck!
i bought a vt750 rs and im regretting it i cant find anything after market for it fuel tank wise... cuz 2.8 gallons is not my comfort zone... so i can either strap a bunch of gas cans to it ... or i can try and retrofit another gas tank to it or get a custom one made and welded to it.
I know it's about bobbers im not a fan of the peanut style tanks there to small and sit way to high I'm thinking more like a street Bob tank love watching your videos
