I can see where that might cost me a cold pbr or two to accomplish! Nice chop mod and definitely looks better and probably more "forgiving" with it flat against the cage! Thank you guys for sharing.
Did this to my 1000x4. Took center rear down 1 1/4 “ and smoothed out the point nicely. Thanks for the idea. Used a rubber stopper and a longer M6 Allen bolt with stock nut. Have pics just can’t load em on RU-vid.
No because you're cutting the mounting bracket out of the center. Then you need to drill a hole through the roof and use the bolt to pull the center down to the cage.
Gila window tinting. You can find it at home improvement stores. It's for tinting windows in your house. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv hit that subscribe button that's what helps us out
It makes the roof line in the rear flat instead of a point. Same as when you look at it from the front. Sorry for not getting good before and after pictures. This was something we thought of and started filming. For something so simple it looks really good. Thanks for watching Dirt Poor Tv.
Dirt Poor Tv Have you taken it up to 75 miles an hour yet to see how wind affects it? I know Honda made some sort a big deal over how you could trailer it with that roof on because of the design. Just curious.
We have had no problems with driving the machine wide open throttle. That is with a windshield and enclosure. It has only been hauled in a enclosed trailer. I do not see any problems with doing this chop and maximum speed of 75 miles an hour.
I cannot honestly say that the Honda Talon will hit 75 miles an hour. Like I said in the above post I see no problem with the roof when it reaches speeds above 75 mph.
