I have 2 I have a 2005 model and a 1997 model. The 05 runs but is sometimes hard to shift down from 2nd to 1st and the 97 I can’t get spark on so is there a way I can test the coil or what else do I need to check i done know I’ll have to clean out the carb but I tried taking the plug out to see if I had spark and couldn’t see any. I’m thinking the coil is bad cause it came with an extra one but neither of them will spark so idk. Please help! Thanks in advance!
I’m not getting any spark from the plug so do you think it’s still the stator or the coil cause I’m thinking I’m gonna have to go through the wiring as well cause I seen a bare wire the other day so idk! The one I have that runs gets spark from the plug with its coil so I’m thinking about switching them out just to see and if it sparks then I know it’s the coil but if not then it’s probably the stator or something in the wiring idk! Hey there, I have a 97 trx90 that ran over a year ago. I replaced the coil stator and CDI box all my kill switches are good (checked w ohm meter) and I have compression.I cleaned the carb and the tank also...Valves are not sticking...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Oh and the ground wires also have good continuity.
