Does the second semester for senior year count for international students who got accepted regular too?

i think my school might not be the only one, but the lack of counselors sending quarter grades could be the excessive work behind it. All grades have to be processed by the registrar before officially moved onto the official transcripts (which takes a month to do because i go to a big public school). since we technically are on semester system, it makes 0 sense to do anything with quarter grades

TAMU early action ends on October 15th so they can't see my senior grades but they do see classes. Can I be accepted without senior grades?

At Texas A&M, you must complete the SRAR, but you won't be able to self-report any senior year grades for senior year. Learn more at admissions.tamu.edu/resources/future-students/college-readiness/srar-tips

Hello! I was a straight-A student up until senior year. I currently take all ap classes and in my first quarter I got straight A’s and one high b. However, in the second quarter I have about 5 b’s. Additionally, I have a 4.5 weight GPA and rank 3 in my grade. I also have a bunch of leadership positions and extracurriculars. As well as a project where I raised money to donate goods to women in need. Does this ruin my chances for selective colleges?

Hello!! If you have time can you answer my question please. I am in distress about my chances abt getting to these competitive colleges.

Many colleges will consider students' first semester senior year grades before releasing their Regular Decision notifications. Good luck.

Don't lose hope. Senior year first quarter/trimester/semester grades are very important too. Good luck.

I unfortunately, I got a D in AP calc. However, all of my other grades are A’s and B’s. Are my chances of RD ruined?
@CollegeMeister

This will depend on where you've applied and the quality of the other parts of your application. Good luck!

Hi! I would really appreciate it if you could help me out with some AP advice. I’m a senior in high school who’s already been accepted at the majority of the universities I applied to. I’m currently taking AP English lit and AP Spanish lang (part of my second semester classes) and I was wondering if it’s entirely worth it or necessary for me to still take the respective AP exams for these classes, or if I’ll be fine by simply remaining in the classes and not take the official exam? Thanks!

Congratulations on your acceptances. If you're already into various colleges, what's the harm in taking the exam even if you don't do well on it? That's what I would do. Good luck.

I have 96 in 9th, 98.6 in 10th, 83 in 11th and 94.3 in 12th......... so 11th is like a mega-dip... will i get in an ivy? i mean if i have great ec's, then do I qualify fr atleast acadmeic standards.
@CollegeMeister
@CollegeMeister 7 месяцев назад
Remember, admission to Ivy League institutions is highly subjective and "holistic." Therefore, if you are interested in having a chance of acceptance, you should apply. With that said, an 83 average in 11th grade (the last year-end grades colleges see before making an admissions decision) is not doing you any favors, especially considering the number of high schools with rampant grade inflation. Good luck.

I have a question about my situation and want to hear your opinion . I already got admitted to a few universities such as ohio state and penn state. However, I’m worried my admissions get revoked. I went from an avg unweighted gpa of 3.7 in grades 9-11, but in my senior year its looking likely that I end with a 3.2 for the first semester (but my weighted gpa remains in a similar range as before cuz im taking APs). Would this be enough to get my admissions revoked? Obviously I’m trying my best, but sometimes things don’t go my way. Thank you for the video, it was really helpful.

@@CollegeMeisterfrom what i understood, 1st semester/ quarter is important because it can help in admission, and it’s okay to dip a bit in 2nd semester. However, in my situation I had a dip in 1st semester, but already got accepted to my unis. Is this situation concerning for me?

I have 9.3 -> 9.3 -> 9.5 -> 8.8 (mid-year) so I have a downward trend. How much would this hurt my chance RD? I'm applying to state flagships and 2 T20s. Please give me an honest answer 😭 Tysm
@CollegeMeister
@CollegeMeister 7 месяцев назад
Again, admission to most selective institutions is highly subjective and "holistic." Therefore, if you are interested in having a chance of acceptance, you should apply. With that said, a downward trend in grades with each passing year is not doing you any favors - even if your course rigor is increasing with each passing year. Academic performance is foundational to your application for admission to most institutions. Good luck.

@@CollegeMeister Hi could you please tell how much would this drop hurt? I don't have any ecs or crazy explaination for the drop. Only an overall decent application. Would state flagships reject me mainly because of that? If yes is there something I can do? Thank you pretty much
