A new notes on Apink: they were Korea's national girl group sometime between SNSD and Twice and still has some unbroken records in Kpop (such as most music show wins). Naeun, their center, recently left the group and is currently an actress under YG, but the group is still active and known as one of the longest-surviving girl groups in Kpop. They were so beloved in SK that they even used to blast their songs and sing along during the nationwide anti-presidential protests in 2016. The members are very active in many areas, from TV variety shows to dramas, musicals, etc. Eunji starred in one of the most popular K-dramas Reply 1997, has recently made waves in an LGBT role, and is known for her solo music work as well, while Naeun is known as Korea's It Girl and is currently representing Jimmy Choo among others. Apink has always been a solid girl group, but EungEung, I'm so Sick and Dumdhurum have really elevated them in my eyes, this "womanly disco" is so much better image compared to their old sweet-as-candy girlish image.
apink has the most iconic kpop songs and it’s sad to them disband like that with naeun leaving especially after being active and making beautiful music 💔.
