@@JAI_SHREE_RAM12337 What anime? I only know of a really good soundtrack for an anime that was never made. Okay, I guess there was this one product that was more like a picture slide-show than actual animation going by how many still-frames it used, which was horrible on every conceivable level except the OST and maybe the voice-work... but surely nobody would ever call that piece of trash anime, right? There is however the visual novel and a remake of said visual novel. Plus of course Melty Blood which is the continuation of the original visual novel, albeit focussing on other characters. For starters the VN has 5 routes and with the exception of one they all have two possible endings (or in my opinion three for route 3), so nailing down a canon one is problematic. Also... other reasons that will become abundantly clear if you actually read the VN.
Fun fact, in Japanese both Lancer and Kenny from South Park share the same voice actor. They even made a reference to south park when Lancer dies and they say the same thing as Kenny's death.

Lancer dying all the time is something that does happen in the original visual novel. In every route, there will be characters that will live or die but the consistent one is Lancer. So it becomes a massive meme, aside from the "mana transfer", "defenseless", and "Tsukihime" memes.
If you didnt know carnival phantasm saber was the love interest for the studio dean version of fate/stay night. That is why she likes Shirou more in it. Great video btw!
I love how in writing, a lancer character type is one that exsists to loae to the main character a lot, and chu culain in myths died epically but gruesomely, and fate decided to capitalise on it by making him a lancer archetype into an actual lancer character, and making him die in literally everything he’s in constantly
What's especially ironic is that there has actually been a SINGLE Lancer who managed to canonically survive and win a Holy Grail War. And that is a Nazi-supported Lancer Fionn Mac Cumhaill
This series shows how broken Zelretch and the 2nd Magic, Kaleidoscope is. The show itself is canon because of the fact that the Ahnenerbe cafe is one of Zelretch's creation. And Type-Venus appearing in the final episode when Angel Notes is set thousands years into the future. Which is a big gap compared two the other works that's included here(FSN, is 2004, Tsukihime is 2000, KnK and Zero is 1990s, while Melty Blood and Hollow Ataraxia are sequels of taking place just a few years after Tsukihime and FSN)
For some context for the other half of the cast, just read the Tsukihime manga. It's really short and definately one of the best adaptations of any Typemoom work.
yeah i can imagine how little sense many things in this make if you haven't played the vns and Melty games, though for Tsukihime you can read the manga which adapts the first route fairly well and should give you a basic understanding of it Saber in this anime actually acts only different from her ufotable versions, this is how she is in the vn, especially Hollow Ataraxia also Grand Carnival is technically the third season of the Carnival series, Prisma Phantasm, the Carnival Phantasm for Kaleid, is the second season so to speak (all of them are fairly self contained of course), though to get that one you of course should read the Kaleid manga first which i'd recommend anyways as it's imo the third best written Fate title, right after Stay Night and Hollow Ataraxia
I think one should watch this after they've played the tsukihime vn and watched or played the fate stay night series. The jokes from tsukihime are just as good and if you don't know about them you miss out on half its potential. Still, I also watched it after I watched only Fate stay night, so who am I to judge

Could u review the Kara no Kyoukai movie series? Watch it on release order from 1-8 and Mirai Fukuin btw rather than a chronological order (the movie series isn’t linear but you will began to piece it together the more you watch it, theres usually like a interlude sprinkled around parts of the movie announcing the date). It also takes place in the same universe as Fate but theres technically trivial crossovers between them so KnK is technically a standalone but still inhabit the same universe as Fate. KnK is a gem imo wish more people would react and review it.
If you want a quick synopsis on the tsukehime story, check out otaku dai kun's explanation. It's got a few parts and are quite long but it's almost like speedrunning the whole game
But don't hit up the ones for the re-make by accident. That was only made well after Carnival Phantasm came out and they have some rather drastic changes. For example Nrvisk... or however the guy with the animals sitting together with Caster's master is spelled was replaced with a different character for the remake for some reason.
*Weird confession:* This OVA series was practically my introduction to the Fate series. I was literally more knowledgeable about Tsukihime before watching it, via the “Tsukihime anime doesn’t exist” memes online. Along with reading the manga for a bit (I need to try catching up with it lately) and watching Melty Blood let’s plays. Despite that I still loved watching it. I guess Carnival Phantasm is one of those series where it can be funny even for people who haven’t seen the media it parodies. Finally watching the main 3 Fate show routes mostly made me get the lore jokes.
Thank you yes my very favorite Nasuverse entry and just about the only one I call canon myself (the cooking show is good too) and its the only true portrayal of Gilgamesh the simp. He is so cute that way (Don;t be jealous, Rin!) Also FGO Grand Carnival is also great and really worth the watch
There's no coincidences, you releasing that video just after La Creatura is made playable in Melty Blood must be a sign of Neco-arc messing with the timeline again, nobody's safe.
I'm so happy like 5 years after first reading fate/stay night I waited to watch/play everything it's referencing before watching it. Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, Fate/Zero, Tsukihime, Tsukihime + disc, Kagetsu Tohya, and Both Melty Blood stories. The sense of accomplishment I felt while getting pretty much every reference was unmatched. Also it's peak and hilarious
There is a scene where caster is buying groceries and two of the items that flash by on the screen for like a tenth of a second are turtle and curry which is a reference to one scene in Kagetsu Tohya where Ciel makes curry with turtle meat for Shiki

what did you think about the short commercial they did for fate prototype? i belive its somewhere in the last episode like a 12 minute part which is just a long trailer of something that we never know if it will get made
Don’t worry, Lancer died in real life too. It wasn’t a false representation of him. Cu Chulainn died in a fight years after murdering his own son. Maybe it’s better he died by getting murdered in a rocket ship than the irl version.
Honestly the best anime thats in the fate timeline its s2 of the cooking anime. 11/10 anime and lancer can get folded more than shirou and berserker combined
I watched Carnival Phantasm with zero knowledge and I found it funny, then I rewatched after I played every Melty Blood game and understood the story of Fate Stay Night and Tsukihime and now I understand every single detail nod and joke and it's a day and night difference, and it was worth it.
People bashing the Tsukihime anime is the same to me as bashing Deen Night. I dont care if you read the vns, i dont care you think the animation is bad. A good story is a good story. And Tsukihime officially made me believe that even after Twilight, vampires and romance can belong in the same story. I wanted to get into Fate, so im like, "zero comes fist in the timeline? Alright then." And while i was still confused af I got to the fight at the wharf and decided, "this is too cool. Im gonna start properly." Proceeded to watch the earliest adaptation (like a real man), and got so engaged I was sure by the end, itd be in my top favorites. It did. Also made the transition to Zero and then UBW all the more worthwhile. I specifically resisted and held off watching Carnival Phantasm because I didnt know the other set of characters. One viewing of Tsukihime later, I was in love with all of them...except Akiha...and Ciel, but it was worth the watch. And then Carnival Phantasm was the most spectacular thing that could ever happen, anywhere, ever.
Also you haven't done the Fate Spinoff "The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II". It stars an adult version of Waver from Fate/Zero. I loved the vibes, music, and cameos of the show but I personally wasn't a fan of the magic-mystery plots.
And now... Kara No Kyoukai (The Garden of Sinners) Pretty much the polar opposite of Carnival and Today's Menu though so prepare for whiplash and some more trauma. But it is hands down some of the best Nasu has ever written
