I feel like pickled garlic + ham + cheese is a decent idea for an omelette. I'd see myself doing that (but using actual reasonable quantities of everything vs just slathering the whole thing in dusted garlic)
I think the big difference is that man probably has decades of frying his tastebuds. I used to work at a gas station and in the mornings I'd make big breakfast burritos with eggs and salsa and cheese - the thing I noticed is that the older people would always grab extra hot sauce and extra salsa. I tried it like that and it was incredibly strong. I guess as you get older it might get harder to discern certain flavors.
You could easily adapt this recipe to be really tasty. Reduce the garlic to two or three cloves, fresh ones, chop them up or slice them thinly, toast them, fry up whatever protein you want, add in the eggs, let that cook for a bit to create an omelette, add the cheese, fold it over and then enjoy as is or over rice. Maybe add some soy sauce or at least salt to the eggs as well.
Once again, in awe of your musical selections. Switching to the Astral Observatory to talk about a weird guy from work made no sense, yet simultaneously made perfect sense.
@@HonestTries And here I thought I was a bit of a weirdo getting all these Majora's Mask soundtracks remakes on vinyl records, but it appears they truly were classics. (Although hearing the song of healing being played while you eat Iron Wrath's cooking is throwing me for a loop)
What happened was another RU-vidr discovered his cooking videos and he took them down despite trying to claim they are bad on purpose. The archive is that youtubers community perserving them due to how next level they are in-terms of bad cooking. I'd highly recommend checking out the Pizza Burger recipe next.
I feel like when you're recreating Iron Wrath 444's "recipes," the music has gotta be as eclectic, cartoony, scary, yet charming as he is. Something along the lines of the Rugrats soundtrack comes to mind. Either way, another great video!
In terms of recipes with absurd amounts of garlic, there is one from an cookbook from the 60s for "Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic" and that title is very literal. The difference is that it uses a whole chicken and pretty much slow cook it, which mellows out the garlic a lot. The pickling could, in theory have kind of a similar effect, but this just seems like a guy who really likes garlic got in over his head.
Garlic is less intense when you don't crush it and chop it up. There's some reaction with the essential oils in it that combine and highly increase the strength.
Imagine if, by some cruel twist of fate, the original video is the only remaining piece of media in a few thousand years describing what the people of today ate.
The Zelda music in the background is just... *chef's kiss*! It makes the recipe tolerable! Sending well wishes to your fiancée... It may take a few days for her to toler3being around you! 😅😅
Having roasted garlic for tomato sauce before and eating the big chunks with bread, I'd say pretty nice. But it's still no excuse to waste so much garlic, maybe 2 cloves at most.
My favorite pasta is aglio e olio, which is literally garlic sautéed in olive oil that happens to have pasta in it, but even I wouldn't make the dish 95% garlic, no matter how much therapy it had
That pickled garlic doesn't have the intense garlicness of fresh garlic. I could eat a whole jar of that stuff. It's a bit of a waste to cook it in my opinion. Iron Wrath should "man the fuck up" and use fresh garlic, but I guess they haven't heard of that in North America.
Hehehe. I used to commit the grave sin of using the minced garlic in little jars you can get, but ever since I got scolded for it I've always used fresh garlic that I chop and mince myself. It takes no time and is better anyway.
You know if he used a 4th of the garlic he did and diced them up and added maybe some tomatoes or even some small potatoes it would be a decent breakfast hash
haha I just rewatched The Lost Boys the other day and am thinking of the scene where they give the guy grated raw garlic and tell him it's parmesan cheese and he freaks out
If you slow roasted the garlic then maybe it could work. Slow cooked it takes on a nice sweet taste so it could work with some extra planning and effort.
This recipe's weirdness to people is the whole cloves of garlic. Many think it'd be overwhelming but it really isn't. There are garlic clove stuffed olives sold in mainstream stores. So there is a good enough want for over the top garlic things like this. Enjoyed the vid, keep doing what you do.
Yes, I regularly enjoy eating those pickled garlic cloves, they're nowhere near as intense as fresh garlic. A nice crunch with a noticeable but not overwhelming garlic flavour.
Yeah, I had never had them before. They were actually kind of nice and not as strong as I thought. As I bit into one, it sort of seemed as though it would be too strong but just before it becomes too strong, it eases back down. After I got used to it, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
Roast garlic loses a lot of its pungency and actually taste similar to a subtle peanut butter, but you have to kind of braise it in a neutral oil til its creamy
Excellent vid, ironwrath had some good recipes, but this was a great pick. Have you considered doing a Maseo (unsure if that's the correct spelling) recipe? Can I recommend the one where he tries to thaw a frozen steak with a lighter sat on toilet paper on the rim of his toilet? Should be a banger my dude.
I have never seen pickled garlic before, but i could imagine, that from the pickling process, it loses its sharpness, so you can easily eat them out of the jar? I would imagine its pretty good actually. And also with that pulverized version: there can not be much taste to it, i would imagine? I never used it though. And i dont see a reason to use it. Fresh garlic is very much available almost anywhere in the world.
That dude can't take any criticism. Quite some time ago, he actually made an entire video about my comment that he talks a lot without saying anything.
I actually prefer to see stuff that should be good. Though I clicked on this not knowing it'd involve sooo much garlic. Also, Possum Kingdom is in fact an amazing song.
