Some of the effects shots in this movie are still impressively seamless even by today's standards, particularly the ones where he's eight feet tall and juxtaposed with the other actors.

Lol, in German its called "Honey, we have a Giant Baby". Kind of reliefs the confusion. XD

And then I remember the movie after this one The Adults shrinking themselves.

I just watched this movie for the first time since I was a young child. Let me tell you, it hits DIFFERENT when you are the parent of a toddler. Haha.

When I first read the title for this movie, I was thinking, "HAS DISNEY LOST THEIR MINDS!?!?" but then I found out what they meant.

"Honey, I Blew the Kid" is a pretty underrated sequel to the first one. It's sci-fi comedy. I really enjoy because the baby turns into a huge giant and turns into a campy fun B-movie which was referred to "Attack of the Giant Woman" or something like that, but it's a goofy fun movie. Overall, campy fun sci-fi movie with much bigger.

Honestly, this young kid growing big freaked me out way more than anyone becoming small. Being chased by a gigantic baby is a nightmare I could have.

Honestly, I've only grew up with "Honey, I Shrunk Ourselves". I didn't din't know about this, or the original until years later.

I've only ever seen this movie a few times. Has a real late 80s/early 90s feel to it (the film was released in 1992, fashion was still similar to the late 80s) which I enjoy. Adam is too cute. Even when he grows into a giant.

I swear this is one of those SUPER early childhood movies for me that I often wondered was even real or was some weird fever dream.

I feel like this was always a movie that was on during the day and the title definitely made me do a double-take when I was flipping through the channels on days when I stayed home sick in middle school

This movie is my childhood

Rick Moranis and the effects are the only reason to watch these movies. The baby being a giant reminds me of the giant baby boss fight from Zombies ate my neighbors!

This film oddly had more than double the budget of the first one. The first one had an $18 million budget and this one had a $40 million budget. So yea, they must have really taken their time making the effects look really great and it shows all the way to today. Although this one, despite having a bigger budget, took in less than half the revenue of the first one. It didn't bomb but certainly wasn't as big a hit and I think we can all see why.

If I ever get to Las Vegas, I'll be thinking about this movie! ^_^

This film should've been "Honey, I Blew You Up" (an even MORE confusing title than the original hahaha), and instead of having Marcia Strassman as a sexy giant mom for about 2 minutes of screen time, that should've been the main storyline. Maybe as an extra treat they should've also had Keri Russell in giant size.

What's interesting about this film is that originally it wasn't even intended to be a sequel to the first film. This film was originally titled Big Baby, with totally different characters and not even connected with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids at all. Disney saw the possibilities of making this into a sequel to the first film and rewrote the script.

Wonder what Doug thinks of the 3rd sequel, "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves". I never saw it, just the trailer, but it seems a bit better than this. Besides, it has Alfalfa from the Little Rascals & Earl Sinclair from Jim Henson's Dinosaurs!

I doubt I want to watch the whole movie, but it is visually impressive.

I watch this movie after bringing out the child in me ^_^ its childish and fun and I enjoy it more... I am a big kid at heart and tend to love my cartoons and some kiddies movies that no one else likes... so I say bring out your inner child then view this movie ^_^ hehe

To be fair, this movie wasn't originally supposed to be a sequel. It was written as its own movie called "Big Baby." That's why it doesn't have the "scary" imagery from the first movie.

I'm disappointed in this movie for not actually blowing up a kid.

I actually thought this sequel was a hell of a lot funnier than the original. Especially the part where they’re chasing the kid all around the house.

Somehow even as a kid, I knew what they meant by "blew up". Probably because the last two were about shrinking, so the third one had to be about growing, right?

Does this mean you are finally going to do Honey We Shrunk Ourselves. that was the first of the series I ever watched and I thought it was quite nice. Saw this one and I Shrunk the kids later down the road. Blew up the kid blech reminded me of baby geniuses with them obviously trying to get you to say aw look at the cute baby.

I always liked this one more than the first.

Doug's analysis of Nick in this movie is off the mark. Every teenager who has spent their entire social life as a dweeb pines to be thought of as cool from their bedroom. The shot in this video where he's playing guitar? It's an establishing shot of Nick where at first glance it looks like he's playing, before it's revealed he's just miming to a song on the radio. Paired with his quiet crush on a cool girl, it's actually pretty good character development; he knows he doesn't fit in with cool people, and is trying to figure out how.

Just want to point out: Yes the sister is in college, but you DO see her on screen as she leaves

I enjoyed as a kid and still do. You just have to be in a mood for 80s/90s stuff that's corny in a fun kind of way.

A giant baby would be HORRIFYING. The kid wouldn't understand that those are living people that it'll likely pick up and play with or even try to eat.

I really like the first one, but I love this one. Not only are the visuals still damn impressive today, but it's just a very pleasant and adorable movie to sit through. No doubt. I actually think it's better than the first one because it was just so much fun. Could be because growing up I watched it more than the others. Call me crazy, but this movie will always have a special place in my heart.
