My first thought after seeing the piece was that the dump was where it should have remained. But you managed to create a beautiful cabinet that is truly one of a kind. Absolutely amazing job!
Your workmanship and attention to detail are amazing. When I see what it takes to finish a piece, I have to wonder how you determine what to sell it for. Simply stunning.
Magnificent! I'm a seamstress who likes the inside of my garments to look as nice as the outside so I really appreciate your meticulous attention to detail. You're my favorite furniture flipper for that very reason. It's rather like "old world" craftsmanship, so rare these days. Your ability to take cast offs and turn them into stunning one of a kind pieces is truly a gift of vision brought into being by hard work. Keep up the good work.
Honestly the amount of care you put into these restorations is amazing. A lot of furniture flippers really focus on getting the bare minimum done to sell which means incomplete backs and insides. I understand what they’re doing, tryin to get the max profit from the minimum amount of work but man the satisfaction of seeing a full completes piece is just something else.
My, oh my! What surprise! It's "the bee's knees"! LOL! I have refinished pieces in years past & I appreciate your extra work on the back, bottom & insides. Bravo on your creativity on this one! I would not hide it in the bedroom!
This is honestly one of the most impressive and beautiful trash to treasure transformations I've ever seen 😍 The color ended up ridiculously on point, perfect golden hue. Also very enjoyable and relaxing to watch you work and share your process. Superb job Sir and thank you for sharing and inspiring!
What a huge change to that piece, great work as always!! Hooray for saving another item from hitting the landfill! The earth appreciates you as much as we appreciate your artistic endeavors! Thanks for another great video.
Simply gorgeous. Love the honeycomb tiles, gives the cabinet a handmade, custom, one-of-a-kind feel. Not that little cast off cabinet has a new life as a star piece in someone's home. Bravo!
I can tell that you put your heart and soul into these projects. Things like this wouldn’t usually interest me, but what I do love watching is people who clearly love what they do. It’s inspiring and it makes me happy seeing other people happy. Keep doing what you love!
Well gosh, I don't usually comment on things but I have to say, what a beautiful job you did on this forgotten little cabinet. Almost shed a tear 🤣 The perseverance to get that honeycomb colour was wonderful and well worth the effort. I love it ❤
What a transformation! It’s beautiful. I love that you’re branching out with the tile work. This would easily work in a living space now, not just a bedroom.
Absolutely stunning! Definitely a one of a kind piece.😊Your attention to detail always blows my mind. That is one of the things that separates you from so many others. Keep up the great work!
Well that took some work and I thought at first is it really worth all that time and effort but turns out that yes it was! It looks beautiful! You are a perfectionist and it shows ❤️
The way you transform something ugly and cast aside into a spectacular work of art is truly something to behold. You're the Professor Higgins of woodworking! 😄
Very nice! I love going from trash to treasure! I started fixing up furniture out of necessity when I first moved out on my own way back in the 70s when it wasn’t “ cool” . My mom helped me re-do an old chrome legged table by using a lace tablecloth and spraying over it as a stencil. Then I got into refinishing wood. Very rewarding..
I love someone that can recognize potencial in discarded stuff, and has the ability to fix it and turn it into an actual beautiful useful thing again. Suscribed to your channel cause watching someone do this allows me to learn and inspires me :)
This turned into a delightful cupboard. I can imagine using it in several places to stash all kinds of treasures. Thank you for the lesson in laying tile and colouring it. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Hi there! I am brand New to your channel and wow, I'm very glad that I stumbled upon it! What you did with the saw upside down is genius!! And this small table came out beautiful!!! You are very talented and I'm looking forward to watching your past videos now that I found you. Thank you for sharing your transformations with us all!
Exquisite work! I appreciate that you don’t edit your changes as they encourage your audience to re-do, change plans, or re-think the purpose of the piece that is being worked on. Thanks again for what you bring to the woodworking community.
Yo Jay!! I received the notification for the premier right around the time I was getting ready for work. A bit bummed I missed it. The DIY scroll saw & straight edge blew my mind!! Great thinking Bud. Final thought. This wasn't a makeover, this was a complete transformation!!! Freakin stunning Bud, Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
When creative people like you tell us to let you know what kind of project we would like to see you do, it amazes me. I prefer to see you just do what you do and take it all in. Your patience and artistry are beyond belief. Thank you so much for sharing what you do.
I love watching you transform 'throw away furniture'!! Simply gorgeous. Again, it's obvious you take pride in your work. (Btw, I like watching Escape to the Country, BBC and recall some episodes in Bristol. Lovely area.)
Absolutely stunning, I love your attention to fine details and you gave your time to make such a beautiful piece of furniture! You certainly had a great vision, and expertly created! Thank you for sharing!
What a gorgeous labor of love ❤️ This piece is absolutely gorgeous! I love all the different techniques you did on the tiles to give it a look that is just stunning!!
Great job. I know how much time can go into these projects. Having a vision for the final results is key to not losing interest in the job. Well done, you earned my subscription. I would love to see you build a one-off piece of your own design. Cheers, from cold and snowy Michigan!
Absolutely Mark ! I used to live in Rockford IL ;-) not far from you so I know snow . I will be moving houses in a couple of months and finally have a workshop so will definitely get more into woodworking . Welcome to my channel !
W O W!! I mean WOW, what a gorgeous piece and amazing transformation!! No one would ever believe that’s the same piece. Such terrific talent. I was so excited to see you use Shou Sugi Ban! My husband loves this technique for sealing his woodworking pieces and has always used a blow torch. But on his larger pieces (he built a huge industrial style desk for or son-in-law and a wall desk for our son) it was a bit harder and very time consuming. So I got him a flamethrower gun for Christmas! He’s building a barn doors for our older son and can’t wait yo use it lol! Thx for the video (speaking of videos, have you seen Crys’Dawna’s newest one? She did neon colors and it was so cool! I just adore her and she’s back to her magenta hair!💖)! Just love watching you work!😁
never been a fan of the honeycomb design unless its incorporated into a modern/new age architecture but this looks good :) HOWEVER this did inspire me to use thin biscuits cut from branches! Same design different shape and aesthetics :) thanks for the inspiration!
Смотрю ваши работы уже 4 день, просто не оторваться, как нравится. Хочу у вас спросить, вы и сами же можете создавать настоящие шедевры,а не только реставрировать.
You did a great job, I enjoyed listening to your soft spoken voice while i was sketching something else alongside. Good to see channels that don't already have a million dollar workshop all set up too, it's inspiring and relatable, please don't lose the humble quality that your videos have!
Thank you ! that's very kind. I will eventually move so I can work indoors because it is not sustainable long term with the British weather but definitely not going to have a million dollar workshop 😂
@@Flippingdrawers oh of course, it must be so inconvenient to work outside all the time, having to be mindful of the weather, bringing all the tools along, noise pollution from traffic, ,please by all means find a comfortable workshop! But I guess I can relate because in Singapore most people live in flats so we don't have space for woodworking, unless you work as a carpenter, so I'm actually amazed that you are able to do so much in such limited space and tools, and your explanations feel like I can learn along too :)
I rarely comment on RU-vid videos but always feel compelled to on yours because I am in such awe of the work you do. You are a true artist at transforming furniture.
good 'bones', resurrected well in the hands of a master, to go from 'trash' to 'work- of- art-treasure'! Inspiring to one of similar vision of what could be, never minding what is, at the moment! Thanks for this.
I love your attention to detail and that you took this and made it your own. I would love to see more of "I found this in the trash" type restorations, those are usually the most satisfying.
Absolutely gorgeous sir! I especially love how you used the grain of wood on those tiles(going in different directions), to add surface detail! Because once you burned them slightly, and then used a dark grout? The grain is shown going in different directions in a way that people may not notice otherwise. The end result is FABULOUS!!! You are a true master. Take a bow. BRAVA!
What a lovely bedside table! Very unique and brilliantly done. Your attention to every detail is very impressive! Thank you for teaching us new ways to restore furniture. 🙂
What a unique piece of furniture you've created, a one of a kind piece. It would be interesting to see what you would create of your own design from scratch. Terrific work!
I adore the final honeycomb shapes with the honey hue colour. And you always find just the right handles to enhance the finished article. You create lovely lovely pieces.
