Only if I get to be 7 years old again, and can start fresh!!!! 'The greatest human tragedy is we don't get to have our youth and wisdom together' - Richard Corben
I will never forget the first time I heard this song. It was on the radio in the summer of 1984 while I was a 20 year old serving in the Canadian Navy out in Victoria, BC. Loved it from the first beat! A golden age of Canadian rock!
You gotta hand it to the Canadians. They may look and talk like dorks, but they have produced some outstanding musicians. I'm proud to have Canada as America's 51st state!
Would lay in bed at night listening to this on cassette tape and looking through hotrod magazines dreaming of what badass car i would drive !!! The memories !!!
@Joe Kinchicken lol Joe! Back to Tony. I liked the song back then but it was thinking about how I was going to K the entire team next game. And mentally working on mechanics. Then alcohol and the girl I wanted to screw.
Good song. Great Canadian Band! One of my all-time favorite songs is one they did called "Feel it Again." Man - that one rocks even more than this one does. Great dig tho on this vid. Loving it in 2021.
Covered this song many times with my good friend Terry Hall singing and playing guitar on it. RIP bud. Great song from a time of great music. Unlike alot of the stuff of today that I just can't get into. It either sucks or I'm too old to dig it. I'm leaning on the side of much of today's music sucking. I blame the style of recording all digital and fixing too many mistakes just sucks the soul out of it.
Growing up in the 80's I lived about an hour from Niagara Falls, Ontario. I spent a lot of time in the summer in Niagara Falls when my parents would take us there on weekend trips. Too bad I was too young to have gone to see these guys live!
This was one of the 1st songs we set up with a circuit of bar bands that I did with a scene of earlier years. I was a bassist & vocal backup, hair to mid-back & perpetual bandannas, black jeans & line-man boot with black leather jacket. Honey Moon Suite was & will always be a neon beacon beckoning back to the shores of a further shore, across the seas of Time.
Hot summer night Storm lies in the air My eyes are a little heavy I'm feeling in the past tense I'm hardly aware I don't want you on the phone don't you play good girl with me Why must I always say it again I've got a new girl now I've got a new girl now I've got a new girl now And she's a lot like you I tried to wash my face But my head fell to low I tried to bury myself But my mind wouldn't stay at home I don't care if you're sitting at home somebody has broken into me Why must I always say it again I got a new girl now I got a new girl now I got a new girl now And she's a lot like you I don't want you on the phone don't you play good girl with me Why must I always say it again I've got a new girl now I've got a new girl now I've got a new girl now And she's a lot like you
Wow I forgot about this tune. Glad I ran across it........long live the 80s for those of us who grew up back then. Why isn't there any 70s and 80s radio like there was oldies stations when we were kids.
Was in the jukebox down in the staff room hole at the local Burger King. Played it every single break during my brief tenure as a BK broiler back in high school Easily my best memory of that time!
@@RONRIFFLE You probably only heard their radio hits like most haters. their deep cuts, sing mostly about stripper bars, drinking hard liquor, sex, and kicking ass. Those are some of my favorite topics, although I kind of outgrown them. Still, It reminds me of the good old days. Btw, I don’t care for shit like “Photograph” either.
Yes, the Great White North..... some of my favs...April Wine, Honeymoon Suite, Loverboy, Red Rider, and Our Lady Peace.. And of course the world famous... Chilliwack.....
April Wine, Chilliwack, Brian Adams, Head Pins, Rush, Triumph, Trooper, Heart. Canada ROCKS!!! I am from the states, but my favorite Bands have more Canadian Rock than from any other country.
great song. band should have been bigger. I don't remember ever seeing this video. I remember watching them on some show/concert on cable. I think black n blue was on there too.
I think this band one a record deal by winning battle of the bands in Ontario, Canada on a radio station called Q 107...they made good use of the win ..dont ya think.
I definitely remember House Of Lords. An iconic business on Yonge. I was a kid back in the 80's and distinctly remember walking by and wondering what it was like inside? It always looked like the place to be seen or discovered!
