I saw this band at a club called "The Roxy" in Harker Heights Texas while I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas in 1985. I went there regularly and paid only 5 dollars cover to get in to see them. I had never heard of them, though I thought they were great, and I always liked this song. A few months later they were on MTV! Loved the 80's!
Ive seen HS live 4 times at state fairs and opening up for national acts in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh area. A great song by a band that never got the attention that they deserved.
Johnny Dee lives around the corner from me now. What a nice guy! What a band in the '80s when I was a late teen...Live on Honeymoon Suite....Double Double at Timmy's Johnny?
Johnny just doesn't look like he's feeling it here. I know he's older now and a lot more mature and probably lost that rock star ego that all musicians and bands develop when their young with that top of the world power trip, but there's not many out there who still has those pipes from those days. But he sure does! He sounds as strong and powerful as the day they started. Come on man! I would really love to hear some new stuff.
Awesome song! I endured a nasty break up from my (cheating) girlfriend in 1984 and started dating a great woman. I played this song constantly in my car! Lol
Saw these guys back in 87 at the Misty Moon, Halifax. My cousin and I were doing air guitar to all of Derry's solo's. He told the bartender after the 4 song that our tabs were on him. We were loaded. Fucking great times in the 80's.
If you are refering to John dee yes that is him and yes he has aged after all its more than two decades since the song came out remember 1984, people change physically
1 of the best rock songs from the 80's. is it available on a compilation cd? i always request this song on the local classic rock station and crank up my surround sound.
@sheshewawa i disagree - this song got plenty of exposure. they just couldnt produce strong albums. many of their songs were just weak. i loved this a great deal, though.
I saw them when they opened for Dokken glad they ditched their silly ass costume's / studded leather bullshit lol . The 80s were equally great and regrettable
This was my favorite band back in the mid-80's! Their first two albums were awesome but their third, "Racing After Midnight" fell off quite a bit. I was saddened to not hear much from them again because I thought they wrote and performed great songs and had some great melodies and musicianship. I'd love to hear they are putting out some new material, an updated, more mature sound along the likes of Bon Jovi's change. Love these guys!
