What's this? A new video? Why, yes. Some goose experiments for your amusement. All done in after effects using some photos of a goose I found. Thought I would do something nice and simple for a change, but these things are never simple of course...
Idk why, but i find this to be weirdly cute. It's just a little goose, honking and danching as it warps and shifts in weird ways. But it's still a little goose
Besides the fantastic animation, I think the music deserves a lot of credit as well. It makes the surreal/creepy vibes to every video stand out even more.
I really wish I could visit the alternate timeline in which Cyriak became a musician. The Kitty City soundtrack is one of my favorite pieces of music in the world.
Still making the same things for 17 years. LOVE IT!! I haven’t seen your channel in a year or two bc I forgot the name and i haven’t been on RU-vid in a year. So glad I get to rewatch all your old videos and you’re newest ones too
It's been many years and Cyriak is still able to turn normal everyday things into man-made eldritch horrors beyond my own comprehension. I am both afraid yet impress and intrigued.
I love that Cyriak can just upload whenever he feels up to it and us viewers will always appreciate it with no pressuring expectations for him ❤ Biblically accurate goose is my new favourite thing also
All it takes is 8 months to deliver a cinematic masterpiece done none other by cyriak himself. He never fails to amaze us with such god-given talent and animation.
I love how the creators that have once been regarded as plain "creepy" finally found the recognition as the surreal, entertaining and outright talented masterminds they have always been.
@raumfahreturschutze it's not about "normies" like you're a loathing bottom dweller. It's more about the longevity and mastery of the art; if it was a one-off beginner project to purposefully just be weird and creepy, then it is. This creator has been making projects for a long time and has refined their art style to be more than just creepy. The surrealism is more easily recognized by most people.
I'm so happy to see that you are still feeling motivated to create these. I am so sad that you can never experience your own videos the same way someone who has no idea what is coming next can. The movement is so natural and organic, but it makes zero sense, so it's really fascinating to watch. I never, ever get bored of your vids, and I am infinitely envious of your skill. AND you make the music.
its honestly insanely impressive how you made a creepy surreal animation about a goose without taking advantage of the fact that the inside of a gooses mouth genuinely already looks like something you designed
Hey Cyriak, I’ve watched your videos since I was 3 years old. My parents sent you a letter a long time ago and they still remember your response and your surprise on how young I was. Thank you for bringing all of this joy to me and my family throughout the years man. I hope you see this
I love that Cyriak has simultaneously gotten better with doing stuff but still does the same awesome and bizarre animations. They're always a blast to watch.
“Which came first, the goose or the egg?” This video perfectly explains the answer and now I am enlightened by unlimited amounts of knowledge. Thank you cyriak
Cyriak is the most underappreciated animator and artist of our time. I've yet to see anyone else that can twist our perception of what 'things are' like him.
underappreciated? he has over 2.5 million subscribers with 4/5ths of a billion views across his videos. I think he's very highly appreciated. I've been following him since...I want to say it was Moo! or maybe it was Cows and Cows and Cows, whichever of the two of those came first. I do agree that nobody Cyriaks like Cyriak, though. I'm not sure what artist I would pick as "underappreciated". If you'd asked me before DOUBLE KING came out, I would have said Felix Colgrave, but luckily that one took off like wildfire(justifiably, it's one of my favorite short films ever made) and now he's doing quite well with patreon, able to do his own animations at a whim rather than have to constantly take odd jobs to keep the lights on.
imagine my pleasant surprise when I loaded your channel for my twice-yearly binge on everything you've ever posted and saw a brand new video to haunt my dreams with
As an animator (who primarily uses After Effects) I'm gonna be studying this for a loooong time. Love the sideways head-feet at 00:50, saving you from having to rig top and bottom views of the head. There's tons of little details in this that make it absolutely brilliant.
I still remember the first video I ever found of you where a creature rapidly exited a sink and I couldn't stop laughing the entire time no matter how twisted the world became. happy to see your work again and again
Thank you for my childhood, i mean serious because i loved to watch your meow animation and cat city, when i was a child it wasn't strange for me, it was like a cartoon fore, thank you cyriak 😢
The fact that this is still made in after effects has me absolutely terrified of what would happen if he learned a 3D software It is nice to have you back cyriak, you never disappoint
I can imagine him going on a hiatus for 3 years just to learn 3D animation and come out with something revolutionary. It's something surrealist artists would definitely do
That would be a totally different style though and I think this "collage" or "cut out" aesthetic is vital to making his work distinctive from anything else that's out there. Limitation breeds creativity!
Never seen another creator with a style so unique. Watched every single one of your videos and been following you for years, and yet you blow me away every time. Amazing❤
This is.. surprisingly small-scale for a Cyriak video. Considering the absolute madness that seems to permiate entire worlds in some of his other works, the fact this sticks to only a single goose getting Cyriak'd is intriguing to me.
Watching this, I come to the conclusion that Cyriak has mastered the art of photo manipulation to the point where he can make the 2d look fully 3d. Genuinely, I thought this was going to be a 3d animation when I clicked on it.
I saw this (uncredited) on Facebook, thought “man that reminds me of cows cows cows” came here to watch cows^3, discovered gooses is by same guy. Magic.
Absolutely "Quack-tastic"! I'm delighted to witness your return to the scene. I've been an unofficial follower of your content for years, and it's truly fantastic to see your unwavering dedication. I often pop on your videos during my streaming breaks, not only for the amusement but also to relish the reactions of others. Your creative prowess is unparalleled, even in an era when computers couldn't accomplish what you do. I'm eagerly looking forward to more of your work! Among my favorites are "Breakfast" and "Moo." I beleive you're a fellow Brit and you should have been really been in the 2012 opening as an Olympic representative, as your exceptional creativity is a rarity in this world. I'm eagerly anticipating your future Cyriak videos, and seeing your notification has truly brightened my day!
The ammount of fear your videos put me through as a child was inconceivable. Few short years ago I stumbled across your content again and saw how truly talented you are. Good shit cryiak.
