I bought this phone with silver white colour and it comes with 12gb ram and 512gb storage with extra free honor 2 lite earbuds , free honor case ( not silicone transparent tpu case that also included inside the box) and + 6 special warranty. here's my conclusion Pros: 1. The Pwm dimming seriously reduce my eye strain and dizziness ( i came from samsung s21+ user). The highest pwm dimming in any smartphone currently. 2. The screen to body ratio is amazing and u will feel an immersive feeling screen, i understand some people prefer flat screen rather than curved edges, but this one doesn't feel like those curved display. 3. Battery Is Excellent 5000Mah lasted me 2 days of medium usage unless you are playing mobile games 24h. 4. Camera is Excellent and i enjoyed using it more than my s21+. 5. Oh and the Display Amoled was just stunning with 6.7 inches, 108.9 cm2 (~90.8% screen-to-body ratio) Resolution: 1200 x 2664 pixels (~435 ppi density) that's great. 6. And the speaker quality, i understand its a single speaker rather than stereo, but i found out the audio quality is very loud and good, doesn't feel cheap at all. 7. Lastly the design quality and feel this is the best so far speaking from my hands size point of view.. no sharp edges under my thumbs when texting which mean for one medium handed user this could be a good phone for you. Cons: 1. No ip rating a splash of water is fine but not on a super heavy rain condition 2. Chipset could be better but for daily use and gaming it is fine but don't expect 60hz + on ultra setting on genshin impact but mobile legends is fine with ultra setting Conclusion of all these: 1. Buy it if you like minimalist light body 2. Buy it if you like to take care of your eyes and viewing health and i do recommend this phone 3. Buy it if you like High end features and premium phone but with moderate budget 4. Buy it if you like to view content on any platform such as youtube/twitch etc 5. Buy it if you like photography Not the best like iphone 14 pro max but it is excellent for my eyes 6. Avoid this phone if stereo speaker is what you wanted for 7. Avoid this phone if you want wireless charging 8. Avoid this phone if you want certified IP rated phone Thanks i hope this help on making your choice
Wow great write up thank you. This will be useful for possible buyers, some useful info. I didn't list the lack of IP rating or wireless charging as a con myself due to it being a midrange phone and the price.
Thank you! Been waiting for your review even though I've watched a lot of others. Your reviews keep it simple and accurate! Great job and keep up the great work!
Glad you like them! And thanks for waiting as I know I'm a bit late with this one but got a lot of daily use with it at least on my 5 day trip up north last week!
thank you for the review, i saw a lot of videos from the launch of the honor 90 and you are the only content creator that mentioned the 15 minutes shooting limit of the 4k videos! This type of details are very important even if this isn't a flagship phone, i really appreciated you mentioning it. Between the honor 90 and the vivo v27/v27 pro that are in the same price and specs range, which one is the best option camera wise? does vivo have a shooting limit with videos too?
I got one for my wife. Screen is amazing for a midranger, battery is ok, camera is good overall, but struggles with indoor and low light situations. After the last update, camera shutter seems to be more snappy. Overall, solid midranger. Stable performance and nice looks.
When the flashlight is on. It only lights up the top half of the ring. If you're kind enough to let me know if your wife's does the same? I'm not sure whether this is normal or not
Hi, I was planning to buy this phone, but I heard two negative things about this phone that you didn't mention. First, the battery is not good. Second, it gets too hot while playing the game. What do you think?
In the UK, the clear case and charger aren't included. The lack of the case is a big pain as the camera bumps get in my way when holding it. The cover would even that out.
I own Samsung j7 prime since 2017 and honor 9 lite since 2019 both brand is good bcuz i use my both phone roughly but still they look as good as new just no more updates on j7 prime cus its pace out already But now they got heating issue both while gaming even the simple games
Hi! I'd really appreciate your input on this. Between the HONOR 70 and HONOR 90, I'm looking for the one that offers the best overall performance, user interface, camera quality, and overall experience. Price isn't a concern for me. So, in your opinion, which one would you recommend, the HONOR 70 or the HONOR 90? Your insights would be a huge help. Thanks a lot!
If you're in the US then the edge+ for the simple reason of connectivity. I'd wait for the edge+ 23 to go on sale. The OnePlus 11 is the only other import with dedicated US connectivity and id choose it over the Moto.
I got my first Honor (Honor 20) back in early 2020, and I have loved it ever since. I only switched to iPhone (unfortunately) because of the security and software updates, but to be honest, I still use it every day for work because, let’s face it, iPhone for work? that’s a joke.
i bought this phone after checking your review but 1 problem tho, phone sometimes is lagging when im using camera, worst when i shoot video with bokeh. it is my phone issue or what. Really frustated.
Hi all, I've been wondering whether your country familiar with the brand vivo? Because in mine I am having hard time to choose between Honor 90 and Vivo V29 as they are within the same price range, I like both but I don't really know which one is more suitable for me and how to choose 😭
@@Techtablets I see. Thanks for responding! But why do you prefer this model over V29? Just wanna know what is the better thing Honor 90 offers cause I am getting the phone soonnn
HIGH VALUE FEATURES: Fast-charging✓ Incredible screen✓ 3850 hrtz PWM dimming✓ Reduced blue light✓ Sleek lightweight build✓ Performance exceeds price 4k 60 VIDEO OIS LOW VALUE FEATURES: IP ratings Wireless charging Dual speakers Gorilla glass Seriously if you value these features over this outstanding screen at this price then i don't know what to say. The Honor 90 checks off alot of boxes. I think for heavy content viewing this phone is a must. No OIS and 4k 60 kinda sucks though. I feel they should have gone with a more powerful yet affordable Mediatek Dimensity 8100. More bang for the buck and that would have allowed for 4k 60 video. The chip is older so it's doubtful it would have raised the price much.
I don't understand the bad reviews with this phone..?! With Nova launcher slapped on it performs fantastically and today I finally managed to download the Android 14 update. Great, smooth budget phone with lovely screen... 🎉
Hey bro, where is your Nothing Phone (2) review? Have you got the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3? If you already have it then you already know that it's a wow phone... right?
Nothing wants nothing to do with me. They are ghosting me... As for the Mix Fold 3 well when it's released I'll buy one to review. I've decided to not buy the Fold 5 and get the Mix Fold 3 instead.
Okay so this has a larger battery, better screen and more RAM plus better chipset. However the Edge 40 has IP rating and OIS on the main 50MP camera. So it depends on what need.
Excelentes fotografías de Santillana del Mar, Cabárceno, y Castro Urdiales. 👍🏻 Lo siento, no pude resistir este comentario en español. About the Honor 90... I'd prefer Poco F5 in this price range. Yes, despite MIUI. It's my story, full of love and hate with this thing.
I have been using one for a few days and this definitely needs a update there is far too many animations issues apps not loading battery life is bad , camera is slow , actually seems like a step down from honor 70
Battery isn't quite as expected yes, 6-7 hours at best at 120hz others can do more. I've not had issue with the animations. Camera, especially low light could be better (as mentioned in my review here)
@unholydonutsI sold the phone took a loss but not much moved on to s21 fe which is even worse gone back to using a iPhone Still waiting for a decent priced android I don’t need all the top spec decent battery, display and regular updates
Well Cantabria which is next to it. Pais Vasco, Cantabria and Asturias all my favorite areas of Spain. Northern Spain is the best, it reminds me of New Zealand, green and clean! And in summer it's the best 20-23 degrees. Here in Valencia/Alicante it's 40 degrees+
i'm a food delivery rider and i broke my poco f4 three weeks ago so i decided to buy honor 90 instead of another poco just to try something new. i've not regretted my decision, honor 90 battery life is way better than my old poco f4, camera does a good job for a midranger, ui is smooth and theres no ads like xiaomi, screen is just fantastic. i start my journey at 10am until 2:30pm the battery still have 50% with the screen on all time at 30% - 40% brightness, refresh rate at dynamic and constantly receiving delivery orders. only 2 things that bothers me is it does not have ingress protection and it charges really slow with my 50w xiaomi powerbank.
No IP rating doesn't mean it can't be dunked. Honor build quality is better than Xiaomi so I'm sure it can take whatever you throw at it. At least you got a pre applied screen protector for your job. Great success!
Why manufacturer is doing those shitty stuff, you don't even allow 4K60 while the chipset can clearly deliver and now you're also allowing 15mns only for 4K30, while a Poco X3 since 2020 can do it with no problem with a weaker chipset. Good Lord! Thank you for this review sir Chris. Was waiting for this one a lot.
Thanks for waiting I know I'm two almost 3 weeks after the launch. Yes odd choices to not allow more than 15 minutes yet it doesn't throttle at all this chipset and no 4k60. If I was to guess it's because they would want you to buy the magic 5 Pro instead.
I remember many years ago honor trying to pass off some canon photos as their new phone photos but got found out... looking at this phone I think they have got something canon should copy because these really do beat some low end dslr's.....
This. Phone Can easily last for next four years without any issues n beat most mid-range phones even then..provided one doesn't drop it.. How am I predicting this thanks to my super honor view 20...still performs top notch when though bottom screen is cracked 😂
