"Honor" - Epic Sad Emotional Background Music 

It's been more than 7 years since I started making music and posting on Whitesand. For those who don't know I studied and finished architecture bachelors degree right before I started and trying my luck on RU-vid. At that point in 2016 I had not much musical experience or understanding how to make music and when I started my idea actually at the start was to make guitar jams/improvisations. I wanted to become a great guitar player and thought to make content around it. My biggest inspiration at that moment was John Frusciante from Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I loved how simplistic his melodies and harmonies were, but at the same time they felt emotional and purposefull, honest. When I started experimenting with music software I came to learn how to layer sounds and use digital instruments like piano, drums and others. I started experimenting with those and first instrumental track came around.(even now you can go back and listen to some of the first tracks and see the quality comparison) In the span of few months I spend all my time literally watching youtube tutorials, reading articles online, experimenting and trying to write music. At that time I was listening myself a lot of instrumental stuff from Two Steps From Hell, Hans Zimmer and some other I was really hooked on it and thought it would be really cool to make something similar myself. Even though I wanted to be a good guitar player at that time and maybe to sing, write songs in the future, I also wanted to explore this area/style of music. Also, when I started doing it I felt like songs where coming around naturally for me when I was just trying to write something with emotion and intention. As months come by I continued to work on it and it became easier and easier to express myself and the views, subs slowly increased which really gave me motivation to keep going. I've stuck with this style of music for a long time, trying to improve, write better, more honest music and I think I am quite happy with the number of tracks and progress I have made in these 7 years. I started to make a living from music in the process which allowed me to feel more confident and expressive as a musician. Making music requires quite a lot of money and this was a big factor in my development too, cause money you earn can be invested back in the equipment, knowledge and so on. Around 3 years passed with my Whitesand journey and I became more aware of what I wanna do - just to write good music. Guitar, singing and songwriting was always in my mind, but I kept postponing it in some way and kept writing instrumental music. I simply liked doing it. Also more opportunities presented itself, I started working with other people, writing stuff for them personally and growing whitesand too. At that point in time I decided to try going for a singing lessons in my hometown where I live now (In Vilnius, Lithuania). I became aware that singing is not as easy as I thought haha and I needed to work a lot to get better at it, but I liked doing it a lot. And it took quite a long time to develop as a singer. Basically starting from no experience to be able to sing in front of people confidently took about 4-5 years, with a lot of ups and downs and hard work. In those years between when I started taking singing lessons and now, around 5 years passed, and I developed so much as a person and a creator. I matured as a person too, some of my views and beliefs changed. I've gained confidence and determination to try writing songs and singing myself. Because before I didn't feel ready. Around 1,5 years ago I gave singing songs a try and written a song called Nightmare. It felt like it was a song I was determined to release some day. And a year later I did, with a music video clip. In these 6 months I came to terms that I want to separate my singing and cinematic journey and separate my accounts. Whitesand being for cinematic music and Marside (my new channel). Its a new channel with 50 subs and few hundred views on new songs. So I start from the scratch haha. Its kinda scary and excited to start all over again. I stare into the eyes of my fallen comrade, he stares back at me hopelessly. Dark red blood drips down his face, his clothes soaking it up. His mouth hangs open in a forever scream, disturbing to say the least. The sides of his mouth curl up slightly into a small smile and he’s whispers in a raspy, dying voice, “thank you...” His whole body goes limp and heavy as his spirit finally passes. I stare into his beautiful blue eyes, watching them cloud over with a white mist. Rain begins to fall in this dreaded moment, washing away the blood staining my hands. My hood soaks up the water and sags over my face, blocking my view of the soldier in my arms. I flick my head back to move it away from my face and I see the blood crusting over the dead mans mouth. I sigh deeply as the tears begin to fall like the rain drops above. I kneel down as my fellow comrades crowd round. I gently lay the body down into the blood stained grass, the rain falling heavier than ever. I step back and stand tall as lightning flashes behind me. My friend, Josh, places a hand on my shoulder comfortingly and whispers in my ear, “ He was a good soldier... always put everyone else before himself. But eventually, we will all leave this world when it’s time... and it was his time...” I look into Josh’s grey eyes as more lighting flashes, lighting up the sky as though it were mid day. I smile at Josh and he smiles back. We turn around, taking not a single look back at the body. The rest of our comrades turn as well and we walk away, guns propped against our shoulders. After walking far from the body I turn around for one last look. Out of the darkness, a single ray of sunshine bursts through the clouds shining upon the body. I see a misty blue figure of the man rise from the body and stand tall, like he once did when alive. The spirit looks over to me and smiles, thanking me for my kindness. I smile back and bow my head slightly. The spirit turns away and rises up, floating up into the sky. It passes the clouds and the sunshine disappears, leaving the body in the pouring rain. I turn around, tears rolling down my face. I notice my comrades are ahead of me and I run to catch up. Off to another battle we go... possibly our last...
