its my 2nd or 3rd fav in the line. just find it so different and impressive. surprised to hear some ppl hating it for the 'urinal' thing which i will never understand
Another fantastic review. Bought a sample of this. Initially I thought it smelt like the air freshener hanging from the rearview mirror of a smoker's car. I really didn't like it. I tried it again last week and found it really quite addictive. Its performance is fantastic on my skin, and projected well and last all day.
Finally.. This is what i've been waiting for so long. Yeah, i'm agree with you Marc, i just don't get it why people are comparing this to urinal cake. First time i see this bottle on stores, i just don't want to try it because people are comparing it to urinal cake and other bad things. Then one day my friend want to sell his bottle of myths man at a really low price (i think it was around $70) , beacuse he doesn't like the smell and there's no one that interested in buying it. Then i try it at his home, and from the first sniff i just love it. I think people doesn't like it because its too different.
Hi Marc. Thanks for the review. I do like Myths Man, but it took two or three wearings to get to that point. Sure is unique with that chrysanthemum note. I like the elemi and ash too. Like it so much I have decided to purchase a bottle! (I’m starting to become a bit of an Amouage collector.)
Best part of your videos, you show how many sprays, clean background and professional look. It makes you keep watching it like series. Would really appreciate if in end of video you can add your opinion for an average person putting it on without dissecting the notes. Getting in notes take the magic away of simply liking the scent. And you do great job explaining smell from daily things. It helps in purchase decision. Kind request
Testing this at the moment. The first hour is a very challenging floral for me, it isn't as stupidly floral as Gold for example which is the one Amouage I can say I truly dislike but it is strong and it is extremely unique in its sombre tone. After that first hour though it turns into something quite special, the florals have died down now and are letting the chocolatey woods in (like interludes but less incense heavy) and then it goes even further as though all those top and mid-notes were set on fire and you are left with their ashes. Super interesting fragrance and I think I'll have to buy it event though I doubt I can wear it much out of the house!
im not sure if im missing something but i dont understand this 'floral' thing here. i can only feel a strong blend of leather and spices and i love it. anyway ive always gone just 1 spray with this when indoors and 2 outdoors. enough to let it unleash its wonder !
Sampled this 3 times via Lucky Scent and Twisted Lily, but just wasn’t feeling it sadly. By the way Marc- Luv the shit & tie combo...... Perfectly placed given the fragrance and colour of the bottle & box. Nice to see some reviews implementing this in their reviews.....l
I adore strange striking medicinal herbal coca-cola-syrup menthol odor in the opening which disappears in 5 minutes. Is it that notorious urinal cake thing that everyone hate? After the epic opening, fragrance appears to be a mix between Interlude man and SL Chergui
im still struggling to understand the 'urinal' thing. i mean i get that sharp acidic vibe in the scent but i really cant see why any1 shd hate it and y it shd be considered urinal
Hy i'm french. You have good french pronunciation. Concentration : eau de parfum, perfect ! ps: il love this fragrance.I just received the sample and I'm thinking of buying it. It's strange in opening but it becomes uncontrollably addictive with longevity. I find it attractive, fresh and modern.i imagine wear it in the summer. I think I'm strange...ok. XD thanks.
I noticed how you focussed heavily on the opening/chrysanthemum and less on the drydown - it needs to be pointed out how good the late drydown is. Very rich, sweet, beautiful. Myths Man has gone up to my 2nd favourite Amouage of the main collection.
You are right, I usually balance them out but I wanted to focus on the intro since it's the polarizing part of the fragrance and quite frankly it's the unique part of this fragrance. The drydown is beautiful I agree.
Thanks for the clarification. Yes I agree the opening is genuinely unique (a word that's used a lot in the fragrance world, but not always accurately!) and the drydown - as good as it is - is somewhat more generic. What I respect abut this fragrance (and indeed also Myths Woman) is how artistic and uncompromising the opening is - a great classical approach to perfumery, where it's all about executing the concept. Love it!!
i could never stand florals in stuff i wore, id even be sensitive to a hint of lily of the valley or something. amouage fixed me good. currently shopping for myths right now lol
