Thank you Alex 😁 There are others on hear who I’d certainly say are way better sib channels and Oban on the water is certainly one of those. I’m mulling over wether to upgrade for next year to a pilot house boat but will definitely keep this sib as it’s so versatile 👍
@@123boat recently bought my first sib but likely won’t get to use it much until next year. But like you say, as the way with hobbies, it’s tempting to keep making everything bigger and better for next season haha. All the best
@@AlexsWorkshopUK Yep it’s getting a bit cold now but I’m due probably one more trip out at some point 🤞I’ve just had a peep at your channel and the sib looks great. You’ll have a lot of fun on that I’m sure. Love the Triumph 😁 Just subbed to your channel and looking forward to watching your progress 👍👍👍
Wow those condition 😍 My old man takes a bucket with a wet towel rather than a cool box but then he’s only ever out for a few hours. Shame to put those maccy back they looked delicious 🤤
Hi McSye, it was an absolutely perfect day. Because we knew we were going to be out all day that’s why the maccy went back in. I had more than enough kit on the sib as it was and my cool box would of made it far to cluttered. 👍🐠
@@123boat I have a Mariner 8. It's also a yamaha design made in Belgium, and very similar to the construction of the 9.9 / 15, although I think the capacity is also a tad higher on those. What size tank to you use and what range does it give?
Lovely footage-thanks. I'm trying to decide between 10 or 15 hp Honda 4-stroke; the 10 is a bit cheaper but the 15 doesn't seem much heavier; however your 9.9. seems to be planing along just fine ! Any views anyone ?
I presume your putting the 10 or 15 on a sib like mine ? Weight is a factor especially if your launching by yourself and without a trailer. Dragging the setup over rough ground is hard work. I was tempted to get a larger outboard but settled for the 2 stroke 9.9 upgraded to 15hp. Solo goes about 24mph and is plenty fast enough and down to 17mph two up.
I’ve waited this a few times now, I would love to do that run and probably stay over in the stair cave or on one of the beaches specially on a day like you guys had there. Once again loved the video and Thanks for sharing Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.
@@123boat where do you park up? Is easy access to a ramp ? I have Motorhome and from what I see the campsites in the south want £90 plus a night where the like of Mull is stunning to with 3 islands near by and in summer it’s £14 a night with full huck up and extremely great showers.
@@raykeogh1972 I parked in Castle town in a small car park by the slipway. Being you’ve got a motor home you’d be better to go to the Weymouth and Portland sailing academy. They have two decent slips. No idea of cost though. At Castle town you would have problems parking…
Just come across this video, how lovely! Perfect day for it by the looks! The Dorset coast is one of my favourite places to be, I’ve kayaked some stretches but I’ve been bitten by the Sibbing bug so when I’ve got time I’m going to explore this area a lot more. Plus I would like to do the same on the west coast of Scotland, as does a now very famous individual who I’m sure we all know who I mean 😉. Kind regards and enjoy the boating 👍
Hi mate! Just found your channel, glad I have. I too have a honwave 38. I’m from Alton and spend a lot of time down the Solent so it’s nice to see another out and about! What’s the tube going over the side of your boat at a right angle? Peace! Phil, Alton.
Hello hello hello !!!! Hi Phil. Glad you found me 😀👍👍 The tube over the side is for my transducer. I have it there as it's easy to get up when I beach the sib. Peace too 👍👍👍👍
spanish. ink Hi. The boat handles well in the chops. Try not to go out in rough weather as it gets uncomfortable. Th boat was £1120 and the outboard £1300 👍
Lovely part of the coast line, where did pup into water and how many miles did you do before turning around? great video crystal clear.I will be getting a Honwave T32 IE 2022 version in a few weeks not sure about the motor, I noticed yours was a 9.9hp but did not see what make. I want between a 9.9 and 15hp but also looking to get a tiny light weight motor for emergencies. Thinking of electric EV now because at 13kg is brill. I saw the slightly bigger ones but price right now is crazy but I love you can just take two batteries. anyway guys loved the video it was great, Thanks for sharing Ray K. UK. YNWA.
@@123boat No not yet i am off work now due to a bank mishap of paying out my DBS payment. This has happend twice in the past and each time it stopped me from working for 3.5 months but ive been assured that wont happen this time but you never know. as soon as my DBS form comes through I will be buying one. I know what I want and its a Honwave 2022 T32 IE, I also want a 9.9 or 15hp and I want a Epolosion electric as back up. Thanks for getting back so quick.
Hi mate, just in process of buying a SIB. What rod and reel is your friend using - looks like a nice boat rod for lure fishing - I'm no expert by the way but want to get into see fishing that I did as a kid with my Dad - and get my boys into it too. Thanks and happy boating!
You don't want to use the rod and reel my friend uses as you can't easily cast with it. I use a www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FH3W5D0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 7ft and a magreel spinning reel CS5000. Only about £21 from Amazon Catch loads with this setup 😀👍
Hi Len. Mine was done before I bought the outboard. I can only talk about my one which is a 2stroke 9.9 converted to 15. It’s simply a lager Reed valve gap to allow more air intake and there was a throttle stop taken off. I’m not sure about converting a 6hp. Worth asking a marine engineer about your model.
