I like that some of the new hood pins come with that protective clear cover over the wire so it dont rub the paint over the headlights

I found instead of trying to use the tiny screws to hold the plate down, I used some self tapers with a 5/16 nut head and they were very easy to do..

The 71 manual has the set up that has just the two nuts. So, Yeah they did change it for 1971. I don't know about 72.

This two nuts used lock the stick.. nuts lock and pin it
