Based on the 1991 Spielberg movie, Hook is a multiplayer side-scrolling brawler starring Peter Pan the Lost Boys, who must do battle with scurvy minions of Captain James Hook. Irem did a pretty decent job on this adaptation too; it looks great, the gameplay is solid, and multiplayer is sure to add some variety as well.
The only downside is the general lack of fighting moves and combos. Later games in the genre typically added the ability to dash and chain moves from it, but this is sadly absent here.
The only other thing of note is the slightly creepy artwork of Peter Pan, which bears little resemblance to Robin Williams. I can only surmise that the later actor's likeness wasn't part of the deal, but it doesn't explain he (and the rest of his family) have oversized noses!
