Right! At 6'6" I used to be able to dunk during a game. At aged 35, I lost that ability and I switched to soccer. I've always been quite quick for a big guy but this dude, with his unique ability to harness all that energy in his quick twitch muscles, is entirely a singular achievement. So yes, he's definitely acted as an inspiration for young hoopers across the Continent.
I have to say it's impressive at his size, and I imagine he's made a lot of money with the modern day currency of social media, but if you're a true basketball fan, does this appeal? No way he makes the upper echelon of true basketball players.
Seems appropriate that his name is 'Jordan'. I recall there was a guy in the NBA with the same name. He was an obscure fringe player for Chicago I think? Anyways, maybe you could Google it to find out his full name.
Respect bro. Most people don't realize how bad dunking actually hurts. My wrist hurt watching this. I can only imagine how many bloody finger blisters you get on the daily. Your dunking skills are next level man. Keep up the great content!
@@patsayjack402 you fuckin stupid? They are pros at dunking. DUNKING, NOT BASKETBALL . Also, you will never see anyone in the nba do those for the "practice" you talk about.
The tomahawk to me, is probably my favorite dunk. Lebron, who I’m not a fan of, probably has one of the best. Also Zion. His is ridiculous. This deandre kid in this video cocked that bit so far back I was like there’s no way. Boom. Nailed that shit. Kudos sir!
Even more impressive when I saw his name, D'andre. I've heard his name before so I Googled him thinking he was an NBA player. He's a freaking quarterback! Wow!
It's so evident the reason he's one of the best dunkers in the world is because he's never satisfied with where he's at, always wants to get better and puts in crazy work
I love these "surprise videos", and it also inspires them to work on their hops and technique too, esp the youngins! You should do more vids like these where you show up to random parks in different cities/ the hood with "nerdy" clothes or just regular clothes and just destroy the rim! You'll get instant respect haha!
Every gym I've been to that has hoops mounted to the wall like that has a low rim... I assume because the angled supports weren't installed tight enough, so the mounting brackets on the wall eventually bent. Or... sag created from the sheer weight of it all wasn't calculated in the specs for the installation...
@JORDAN for me you no1 but you got so much competition too right? but many inspired by You :) good job you made your mark already in thins world! Big respect
I love this. As an Australian, one thing I have to say that's great about 'real' Americans is that race/colour doesn't have to be everything (like some woke folks would have you believe). There's a beauty in the simplicity of celebrating each other for each's respective successes. The enthusiasm and camaraderie is infections. Go Jordan!
Not taking credit from kilganon but seeing the way he holds the ball should show just how good dunkers like air up there and James White are, to be able to do amazing dunks off the dribble. Also Michael Jordan and how he was the first to dunk from the free throw line off the dribble
