Hoover 800RL Washing Machine 

I've never seen a Hoover/Simpson washer reverse the agitation so quickly before. It's also weird how the timer is a selector instead of an actual timer. The only other thing that surprised me was that it didn't turn the tub while it was filling, especially considering it's an electronically controlled hoover. Still a very well equipped machine though, it even comes with the BOSS suspension, so yeah. Cool machine!

Late 90s saw drought and water restrictions. Choice magazine had noted previously Hoover used more water than Simpson for the same capacity so I imagine that is why the spin rinses have been cut down. These were the last machines to be manufactured in the Meadowbank factory.

Just nice to see "made in Australia" on a machine, an echo of the dying days of products made proudly in Australia, now all we have are Chinese, Korean and Malaysian made shitters that are lucky to last 3 years, I frequent my local scrappy and there are more Samsung and LG machines than you can poke a stick at. Honestly lets look at the facts, you can't wash well without a decent amount of water! Pulsators DO NOT work as well as a traditional agitator, why else were they in use for close to 100 years? Because they are tried and proven! Pulsators excel and tangling, zero roll over and crappy cleans, that's why the wash times are often 1 hour plus. I will never get tired of using my 1980 Blackstone Hoover, 38 minute there abouts standard wash time and cleans perfect every time.

At least it spins up, Fisher & Paykel would of given up long time ago.

Almost sounds like a Simpson when agitating. Or the later Hoovers that were really Simpsons with Hoover branding and body.

Hi Mate! Does it have a lint filter? I have the 800EL, i pulled out the top fabric softener dispenser and to my surprise no lint filter like the simpson enduro it just replaced 😅

I wish I could understand why people insist on overloading their top loading, center post agitator vertical axis washing machines Because it is overloaded, the clothes mostly move from side to side, not up and down the agitator. The indexing is faulty too. That never helps with the functionality. Cheap machine here
