I recently got one of these for free from a friend. It doesn’t have the little diverter but it’s still a great vacuum. Probably one of the better bagless uprights made. I love how you can hear the cyclones whistle when it’s on.
Ok now my mouth has dropped to the floor!!! I am speechless...the dirt/dust pickup, the carpet lines, hearing the agitation, hearing what the real CFM is. To beat it all I got this machine at an auction for 20 buck's. The brushroll does sound rough but yet again look at what it does. Oh and not to mention thank you Mrs. VacLab for coming on camera, I requested it. Soo soo glad to have seen this, major thank you!!!
That would be an interesting start to a project to see what grounding the metalized plastic cyclone assembly would do for the reduction of static electricity in the separator.
@VacLab the only way you could get the one pass brushroll is if you opt for the high preformance pet or high preformance pet plus being that they have the staggered brushes.
Hey! A Hoover Central vac would be nice with 2 old Hoover WindTunnel DC Hose kits. Old-style hand grips, with two switches on each of them. One on each floor. Make sure to get them and do a whole house cleaning with them. I would like to see them.
@Thomas Rectenwald i got the newer model of your vacuum there without the diverter. i agree it's a beast for a bagless machine. only issue is lack of parts including the handle because it's electro magenetic so when the connectors inside short out that's it for it. can't get a new one because they don't make the new handle assembly. but it is a very good machine.
You know rewatching this video and with your new airflow box I bet it pulls about 75ish CFM. All your vacuums have better CFM with the wooden airflow box.
Hmm. I wonder how the pet model with the Quick Pass brushroll would do. People are comparing it to Sentria brushrolls, but I think my Progressive had that same style around the same time. I know they went with a normal double helix after that generation.
Hoover also make a silver version of this model And it has the same brushroll pattern as a Kirby avalir or sentria 2 brushroll. Hoover calls it the quick pass brushroll. Theres a video somewhere on my channel of it
@VacLab I got the newest revision of that vac. it's mechanically the same vacuum except on mine they dropped the diverter and the area where the hose clicks into place. it pretty much clicks into the lower black plastic lower hose. they even took the little "3" off of the cleaner head and the dirt canister
@@VacLab The model on it is UH72600W. so my guess is it's tne newest updated version of that one. still has a crap ton of suction with the 13 cyclones. i think they did that for the new max performance. would be nice if hoover or any vacuum parts center carried the oblique brushroll the high performance pet had.
Bruce Solomon well, WT3 at 66 CFM, XL2800 at 53 CFM and the Symmetry at 42 CFM kinda tilts everything in favor of the WT3, even including airflow density. This machine is a real winner here. Just wait for the particle tests...😀
Should I buy I have a high plush carpet it doesn't have so much good reviews like 3.8 out of 5 stars it has problems with the belt tensioner and some plastic lever breaking this is what lacking me of getting it I was thinking about a fold away hoover or twin chamber
Hello VacLab, Could you please give me some idea about my Hoover Windtunnel pet pro 3 . I took apart the vacuum to cleaning then after put it together it can not stand up anymore and the brush beat the floor very loud. Very appreciate your help.
How would this do with picking up rabbit hay? I recently had a dirt devil one and it clogged up and I have it unclogged but its not sucking up the with suction it looks very nice I was trying to decide this or a shark?
I'm never gonna purchase Hoover like these again. The hinge at the base is flimsy and broke after about a couple of months. Have had nothing but trouble trying to find a replacement part. Even partswarehouse which i always turn to cannot get a replacement. Its a problem with ALL ( I guess all) brands of these uprights. Previous to this we purchased a Bissel upright vacuum with the same problem. A tiny plastic piece acting as a hinge after many open and closing will, and it does break off. According to Hoover its classed as a "major part and something we cannot replace"...... what!! Its the bottom half of the canister which can be detached and washed! Pardon the pun, but Hoover suck!
