I got mine 4 months ago. The cannister does not lock, the hair and dust got stuck in the tubing. The dust and dirt got into the air when I released and let the debris out into the trash can. The windTunnel part was so dirty I,I had to clean it. It was gross. I am looking to return it and replace it with a bagged upright. The dust and debris and hair are inside the bag and does not get out into the environment in my house.
Julian Small For the price, I am very pleased. It takes a little bit to adjust to it due to the strong suction. Once you find the correct height setting for your floors then its fine but it wanted to lock onto my berber carpet more than other vacs I have owned. I read other reviews that warned about it also. If I had to do over I may look at other hoovers on their ebay site.
