I've got to ask, is this what the club scene looks like in Belgium? They look somehow like 1970s USA mixed with classic cabaret. Really cool, just *very* different from what I experienced in France, Germany, and Austria around the time the video was released.
I remember that this was the theme song to a BBC show in the mid 2000's, that's how I know of this song. It was a drama about the crew of an airline. Does anybody remember what the name of it was for me?
It's funny you know, when I play this, for some reason all I can think of is sexy as shit air hostesses in uniform jumping out of yellow SAAB convertibles at airports with "Frankfurt" flashing on the destination board and aeroplanes taking off into the sky!...isn't funny how a song can just instantly create theatre of the mind right out of the blue...
I don't really see similar sections to be honest but it might well be you're right. Daft punk use alot of samples. Though I must say the songs on that particular album of them they didn't use any existing samples so it's very unlikely imho. And no problem btw, just wanted to point it out. ;)

Alex Callier, is probably a good musician but he has an ego as big as the White House! Geike Aernaert was the best voice he could ever find and let her go away. this guy is really nut! Geike Aernaert is the only representative voice of Hooverphonic, all the rest are just singers...
Rosario Di Rubbo ( sorry for the english im french) but it's her who wanted To leave the band. Alex never let's her go just for change singer. he dont have an ego. He said it was a choc for him and Raymon when Geike said she leaved the band.
Rosario Di Rubbo c'est vrai que ca parrait surprenant. Mais liesje comptait faire sa carrière solo bien avant de rentrer dans le groupe elle voulait juste un peu d'aide pour être mise en avant, Geike elle est partie faire sa carrière ( mais en effet elle a avoué ne plus se sentir à sa place vers la fin, en même temps 10 ans avec le même groupe c'est normal qu'elle est voulu changer d'air) Noémie elle a avoué lors d'une émission ne jamais avoir été une grande fan d'hooverphonic, elle voulait seulement chanter parce qu'elle aimait ça et rejoindre le groupe l'aiderais à réaliser ce rêve. Mais après 5 ans ils ont décidé ensemble de se quitter suite à des différences musical qui entraînait certains problèmes ( par exemple noémie a refusé de chanter une chanson car elle ne lui plaisait pas.) Mais ça n'est pas de la faute a Alex en particulier, certe il est le leader du groupe mais cela ne signifie pas que chaque soucis est de sa faute. Je pense plutôt que c'est un manque de chance pour eux.
You have a point, but work from a misinterpretation. Alex Callier does indeed harbour a great ego, but with his talent, he deserves it - and it is nowhere as big as the White House which currently harbours the biggest ego on the planet. Geike left for exactly the same reasons as Ester Liebeert and Lies Sadonius before her, too much pressure from touring and the inability to live your own life. Noémi Wolfs - who was a worthy replacement - left for the same reason, by the way. The only singer ever fired by Alex was the third one: Kyoko Baertsoen. Yes, they all had their problems with Alex (while Raymond was the glue that kept them all together) but hat is what happens in every group that is forced to work under pressure and vigorous conditions (such as touring). Hooverphonic now has a new very young singer (Luka Cruysberghs) that won The Voice (Vlaanderen) under Alex wings. Let's hope she is more resilient. While I am well aware that there will never be a second Geike Arnaut, Alex and Raymond always seem to find that special type of voice that fits the music of Alex Callier. The group should receive an invite to write the music for a Bond movie or even better - the soundtrack and title theme for the upcoming "Black Widow" MCU Film.
