Here is to hoping IS will realize they dont need to do supports at all and make another advanced wars. War groove is good, but it still doesn't quite hit the same.

100% agree. The CO Power & Super Power themes from 2 are still in my "GET GOING START WINNING" playlists. There's so much good tunes waiting for some attention in this series and I am hype that Jonny is taking a swing at it.

@Senneih_cram I’m one year late in this but DS in this case is an acronym for Advance Wars: Duel Strike. The third game in the advance wars series (not including the non-localized ones)

And there is none uncompressed version of them

Lin, Waylon, Beast, Will and Gage theme's are all solid choices for a remix Hopefully, one day :')

Blame nintendo for not caring about some of their franchises. As a F-zero and AW fan I've been pretty salty for years (we're better off with what we got than a bad sequel though) Maybe they'll have to throw us a bone before the IP eventually ends up in public domain :')

I found a channel that remade some of the tracks. ru-vid.comfeatured The Power Up remix is spectacular.

@@TheDamaramu well, considering the first two Advanced Wars are getting a full-fledged remake on the Switch in the form of Re-boot Camp, we just might get ourselves a bundle of Dual Strike and Days of Ruin akin to said remake if we support Re-boot Camp. Then I am quite sure we will get a fully uncompressed soundtrack.

I will literally fucking have a heart attack if they remaster Dual Strike and Days of Ruin! Those were my faves of the four, with Days being the best imo! The first three AW games were pretty light-hearted for games centered around war, but Days of Ruin straight up gut punched you and reminded you that this was WAR. People died. Happy endings don't normally happen, and the extremely few that did were hard fought and sacrificed for. You didn't get everything wrapped up in a "happily ever after" package. Even after the conflict in the story, those people were still left in a ruined world they had to fight even more to survive in, had limited resources, and generally ended up with a bittersweet ending. DoR was a really gritty, dark, and overall fairly hardcore look at what a post disaster world still locked in war would look like and do to people. There were no "good guys" or "bad guys," just people trying to survive the best way they each knew how. Rubinelle's 12th Battalion just happened to be the protagonist's crew, and was lead by someone that had a good heart and a solid head on his shoulders, but even he knew that high ideals didn't always get the job done in that world, and wasn't too broken up when some of his people had to do some underhanded things to make sure they all survived. And even when they finally joined up with others from the same country, they turned out to be even worse than the bandits that were preying on people to begin with. The game was hella dark for the time, and for the series it was a part of, but it made it work because it didn't pull any punches about how shitty that world was, and how shitty people would get to survive there. It did, however, show you that hope still lived, and that there were things still worth protecting and fight for.

@@aaronlefebre5060 indeed, I am going to say it was The Last of Us long before The Last of Us was even a thing. Only thing they would need to do is decompress the original Days of Ruin soundtrack so we get to hear how it was meant to sound in full quality, the music is perfect. I am manifesting this dual pack of Dual Strike and Days of Ruin in my mind, it's gonna happen!

I'd definitely pay $60 for it if they included those two as well. As it stands, I love AW, but nothing but a relatively light facelift doesn't justify the price for me. I'm glad the series is getting more exposure as a result, however.

@@aaronlefebre5060 LOL the original three games totally treated them as if you were playing with plastic army men. It was a pretty abrupt shift for fans of the original games.

@@TSBJunkie Dual Strike started to shift a bit more to "realism" a bit. Who knows, maybe the catalyst to DoR was because Black Hole started to fight eachother and end up destroying the world lmao

I love how Waylon's theme starts with a ridiculous small voice (because you only hear that in the first mission you see him with his only ship) then you hear an epic theme in his other mission
