Y'all were talking about Warhammer audiobooks enough i thought I'd mention, the narrator for the Night Lords series, Andrew Wincott, plays Raphael in Baldur's Gate 3.

I mean if the casting director is worth their salt, and they want you to cameo in it, they could easily help you with dialect stuffs! Pass backs are a thing. Just saying... shouldn't miss the opportunity to bring some good ol Murica to ol Warhammer!

Bricky the next time you get one of them voice-acting offers, you just reach out to me here on RU-vid Comments and i gotchu covered 😎 sincerely, an aspiring voice actor also on a more serious note, voice acting isn't nearly as hard to get into as most people think! i run a lot of TTRPG groups teaching newer players how to get into Dungeons&Dragons and similar games, and self-consciousness about coming up with a voice is really common and easy to get past. all it takes is a touch of practice and a couple practical techniques and you'll be getting the hang of it in no time, and it'd be super cool seeing one of my favorite content creators voice acting in some of my favorite games

Betrayer was such a fucking amazing book, Argel Tal and Kharn are awesome characters and Angron/Lorgar being actual brothers was nice to see

How has NOBODY commented on the fact that he just perfectly stood there and rambled a bit on some stuff going on with him and was able to raise his shield back up PERFECTLY as he finished talking about said ramble. That was comedic timing genius, come on.

About the whole personality thing in Darktide. I read that the game remembers what voice lines your character has said before (if I understand correctly). So eg. maybe Loose Canon has a voice line about some slight thievery they might have gotten up to, the game remembers that, for when a Judge Zealot is in the game, and that Zealot might comment on that. I think your character's level is tied into this whole thing too, somehow. Again, this is what I read somewhere on reddit, I don't know if it's true or if I understood it correctly.

I know you're not big on the Horus Heresy and you hate Perpetuals, but I would recommend Vulkan Lives. I think the Perpetual stuff in it is actually written well, and the audiobook narrator is very good, and Curze is in it and his Curze voice is out of control.

some of the best 40k novels are just crime stories, like one mortician gets her hands on a gem and freaks out about it and its so interesting

As someone who has read all the Eisenhorn books and is on the second book of the Bequin series. It does in fact, only get better.

A pretty decent book/short story that doesn't have massive stakes is the bookkeepers skull.

I think some of the greatest scenes from (atleast the first 3) Horus Heresy books is the deaths and sacrifice, give me a book of martyrs and I’ll read till bloody hands. Currently going through Fall of Cadia.

Yeah the shield plus taunt on block means most gun people run at you. Snipers and Heavy Gunners are the exception and don't approach while shooting in my experience. (fuck snipers.I literally CANNOT deal with them on my ogryn build and need someone else to delete them.)

As someone who read the Horus Heresy up to the book before The Siege of Terra: It's pretty nice. It's totally absurd sometimes, the anthology books should be skipped and Perpetuals are a stupid idea... (So is The Dark King, as I just read. WTF) But the rest is pretty neat! There are some genuinely great books, displaying the Legions before their falls and also the humans fighting along side them is pretty amazing. There's a book about an Imperial Knight house fighting alongside the Emperor's Children that's really cool, I loved Legion and the Thousand Sons books. There's books about Titan Legions, tank commanders, etc... a lot of cool stuff and also interesting characters beyond just power fantasies. Though I totally agree that lower level usually is more interesting... I really love Eisenhorn, Ravenor, Bequin though. These characters are simply amazing and though Bequin began to go off the high end of power... I still love those books so far. The King in Yellow is hopefully gonna be really interesting and not just too generic.

As only having played the new Xbox release. My thought it's Fatshark finally got the game were they wanted it to be at release and now are just gonna turn up the story, lore and game play.

Gaunt's Ghost's lost me entirely when he punched another Commisar for insulting an Eldar that had just recently killed a bunch of his men, even the first book was mid.
