The cult of admonition seems to have a noble backer, and that this entire shitshow was a power play of the nobles that went out of control, so yeah, the nobles are getting the axe, and since this is 40k, it means new nobles to replace them

And something that some inquisitors forget, is that no amount of authority will make you bulletproof, so it's always a good idea to mix carrots with the sticks

She does know Wolfer before and feels betrayed by him for some reason. The cult of Admonition (reprisal) is an admonition towards the Nobels, who left the lower tiers of Atoma to rot and even set them against the other houses in order to seize power. It makes Zola's hate for the Twins justified in her own eyes, but also would make her sympathetic to the cause of the Cult of Admonition. Interesting!

Bet you any money she's formerly of the Moebian 6th. Whether she was out before all this started or the whistle-blower on this whole shebang I don't know, but: a) She's a local, with extensive knowledge of the seedier parts of the hive, b) She seems familiar with not just Wolfer, but the Karnak twins (if only by reputation) c) Bit of a stretch, but her attire, while similar to ours, doesn't share our colours. If anything, it's what the 6th would have looked like pre-betrayal

We do know the 6th was responsible for holding back the “Darktide,” which is the tide of heresy/xenos that plagues this sector, so it’s implied that their long years of service corrupted them, and once the Cult of Admonition pops up on Tertium, they decide to throw their lot in with them and, in turn, Nurgle.

There's been speculation that the cult of admonition poisoned the 6th with their tainted stims, and in their sickness they cried out for anyone to help. And grandpa nurgle answered.

Yea itd be really cool to get some story to the game. They got THE BEST Black Library author to write the story and then told us none of it.

Facing horrors of the warp practically daily changes the man (Mobian 6th are veterans of Fringe wars in Mobian domain, facing combination of xenos and chaos regularly, THE darktide). Being meet with ignorance and indifference from fellow countrymen/populus of the home planet pushes further to heresy (They were rotated from frontlines back to Atoma prime and saw the contrast between their daily life and absolute ignorance of the chaos or everything they faced)

I'm furthermore suspecting that she's not a traitor YET, but is turning into one. The weapons of nurgle always carry the taint of chaos with them and like Chimp explained, it's kinda fishy how quickly she recovered. In addition to that, in the Orthus offensive dialogue, she told Rannick she wanted to know something specific about wolfer.. and as we know, the fall of the Moebian 6th didn't come sudden. It came creepingly. When they returned, they didn't just came in like "hurr durr, worship nurgle ya gits" but announced they wanna "spread the truth". Does Zola want to know "their truth"? Did the bladewound hint something to her?

Well said! I do think that the power of a reputable Rogue Trader and Inquisitor can be very much on par with one another in the right circumstances - and I think both parties would be wise to respect each other's authority and skillsets

There has to be something in it for Brahms as yes on paper Rogue Traders have to obey an Inquisitor, Grendyl is so distant and Rogue Traders so independent that all Brahms has to do to get out of it is go to one of Grendyl's rivals. So I feel there must be something in it for her, maybe a guaranteed exclusive contract with Atoma or a strong chance to be installed as planetary governor by Inquisitor Grendyl

I think that the now-servitor lady very well could have been 'a' traitor - but whether or not she is 'the' traitor is another question. Something more complex could be going on behind the scenes as well - i.e. she was framed by the real / stronger traitor or was sacrificed by someone else to maintain their own secrecy. But yeah, as far as we know for sure at this stage - the traitor has been identified and dealt with

Though I would say that beyond the poopy nature of the knife, the Moebian 6th are now devout followers of Nurgle and would most certainly work towards having their weapons (knives included) blessed by the god - especially if the Admonition is involved in anyway. They clearly have a strong connection to Nurgle and so I don't think it is a stretch to say they would have Warp imbued / infused blades in use across the regiment

@@dystopianchimp then again - this warp infusion won't be anywhere that strong as it was back then on Terra. Those were most likely champions of the dead guard fighting Jaghatai. So they were the elite of the elite - the most beloved by Nurgle, during final battle. So their infusions would have been over the top relic level. In case of Zola's poopy knife - it is blessed by some random cultists on a backwater planet and given to a random militarum hereticus member. It might carry some warp charge indeed, but I think that Nurgle is more occupied with Mortarion fighting Guilliman at the moment of game's story to give any reasonable blessing to a random cultist. And moreover - although we hear of "witches" through Wolfer's comms, we can't really see any effect of them on the battlefield (apart from blessed units who are not that comparitevly dangerous, just a little tougher than usual). And I don't think it was a blessed blade, since nothing was glowing with green. And - to finish it up - she was surrounded by Moebian corpses - not admonitionist's. And, judging from how Moebians behaved in the cutscene - they were more of a renegade regiment, than cultists. They implied military strategies and didn't seem to use a lot of magic or occult (apart from pox-walker meat shield). So they are not very likely to devout recources and time into blessing each blade.

Though Zola's resistance is also nowhere near that of the Khan's - so the power scale really evens out imo. Strong Nurgle charged blade = almost dead Primarch. Weaker Nurgle charged blade = totally fine human? @@yukinoved4260

rogue traders are not "just a bunch of sailors". They have a literal contract from the emperor themselves saying they can do whatever the fuck they want outside of the Imperium. That's a very big deal considering the Emperor is considered tantamount to god. They themselves are usually nobles with dozens of planets to their name, and Rogue Traders don't come from other Noble families, but rather dedicated Rogue Trader houses. Basically: Rogue Traders are second ONLY to the Inquisition, and even then, they can get away with telling them to f off in certain cases.

Wrong. Rogue traders has literally planets with armies behind them, with fleets, can do whatever they want. the INQ Outside in the kronus they are just retinue of people while Rouge traders can wage war againts xenos or anybody in the expanse. The inquisition can request help and capital REQUEST, even can request space marine chapters but they can say fck off. Play the new CRPG Rogue Trader, perfectly encapsulates what RG can do or capable. You can meet acolyte and a proper inquisitor aswell. Can tell them to fckoff ;)

I think Rannick is definitely in charge as far as we, the rejects, are concerned. Though in reality Grendyl is pulling the strings - but with Brahms also holding many many cards
