Ingredients: 4 cups all purpose Flour 1/3 cup of brown sugar 2 tsp salt 1 tbsp/ one 11g packet of instant yeast 1 3/4 cup of warm water (105F) 2 tbsp/ 1 oz melted unsalted butter 2 tbsp / 1oz melted vegetable shortening Melted butter for brushing Method: In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients Combine shortening and butter in a separate bowl. Add 1/2 of the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir together using a rubber spatula. Add remaining wet ingredients into the mixture and using hands, work into a ball. Turn dough onto a well-floured surface and knead for seven minutes or until ball is smooth. Place dough into an oiled bowl. Cover loosely with a tea towel or plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm and dry place, away from direct sunlight for 45 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size. Once dough has doubled in sized, punch down onto the dough to expel the excess air and form into a ball. Evenly divide the dough into 10 pieces. Using hands, shape each each into a sphere and place into a greased baking dish, 1 inch apart. Brush each piece with melted butter. Cover baking dish loosely with a tea towel or plastic wrap and allow dough to proof for 20 minutes. Brush each piece once more with melted butter and place in a 400F oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
I made this earlier for the first time & it came out great, thanks! I used less salt because we only had salted butter. And my friend told me to put a tray of water underneath so that the bread could develop a nice crust & it worked :)
Tried this recipe today and it was amazing....just love it when you try a recipe and it comes out just as amazing as portrayed...keep doing you ❤❤#besttrinihopsrecipieever

This is the first time everrrrr I made bread and it came out perfect ! Dudu! It sofftttt in the middle and darlinnnn it crisp on the outside ! I will never stray from this recipe !!! Thanks ! Ah feel I could open a bakery wii 😂
Superb I like your style cleanliness Your bread is delicious looking I am making this today so I hope it looks as good as yours. PS. With love it’s the palm of your hands you use to push on the dough not the heels 👠 of your hand. Blessings keep cooking.
Dat is d ting self > My Grandmother always told me, child never make bread if you are angry or worried. She was right I learned from experience. It sure is therapeutic. Will use vegan butter and vegan cheese, and it's Vegan. :) Thank you very much, will try it.
I will definitely try your recipe and will give you my feed back for sure. Please tell me what kind of pepper sauce you used. Best regards from Dominican Republic!
Original hops are crusty because there's no butter or shortening in the dough. You may grease the mixing bowl while the dough sits on a kneading board. Then place the dough back into the greased bowl and rotate it so the entire ball is greased. Follow her recipe the rest of the way.
Loving yr hops recipe will definitely be trying dis out 👍 an I tried out yr carrot cake recipe an it prefect 👌 especially dat icing thanks for taking some time out to share yr baking videos for us really appreciate it
My question is how come Hops is no longer crusty as it used to be? Back in the days when you ate it there was a lot of crumbs, that doesn't happen anymore.
My question as well. I can’t manage the imposters parading as hops these days. As far as I’m concerned, they’re all making really nice dinner rolls not hops. Hops are crusty on the outside, giving a cascade of delicious crumbs before you get to the pillowy moist interior. My quest for real hops continues.
Awesome, you should also put the ingredients in the vid below, yeah it's alot of work but it sure helps use cooking newbies.. Great job, beautiful girl cooking and easy recipe thank you!! Will try it tonight..
@@eatahfood Ok made it 2am this morning lol, when I was watching your vids and others around 11am, yours was better cuz all the others used a Kitchen Aid which I don't have, seems it didn't come out as good as yours but it was fun and waaaaayyy easy to make using your methods and recipe thank u, will try my best to perfect it..
OH MY GOD!! Watching you present and produce your recipe in this Hops Making Video was akin to attending a soul-satisfying Spiritual Service. Your natural humility and bread-making ability is a winning combination that is guaranteed to exponentially increase your viewership by leaps and bounds. This was perhaps the only recipe video I ever watched so many times in quick succession. Thank you!!.....Message from C.H.E.F. Che Rodriguez.
Hi there! Thank you for watching ☺️ As I am in my home kitchen baking for my own consumption, it is not necessarily better to put my hair in a ponytail. If I were baking commercially, I absolutely would wear a head covering ☺️glad you enjoyed the recipe 🙏🏾
In order to get the crust on top and to make real hops. You have to knead and let stand until rise then knead again and let rise and then do it a third time. Then roll out and bake. It comes out ........real hops
I can’t manage the imposters parading as hops these days. As far as I’m concerned, you’re making really nice dinner rolls not hops. Hops are crusty on the outside, giving a cascade of delicious crumbs before you get to the pillowy moist interior. My quest for real hops continues.
This is dinner rolls, not hops bread, you are to young to know hops bread , it should be made with hops, not yeast, crusty on the outside, hollow and moist in the inside, but your rolls are very good, not Trinidad style though Blessings, try not to put your hands on your head (hair ) not clean.
Your hsnd shouldn't be touching your HAIR while kneading the bread dough. Just saying and keep your HAIR in a pony tail, if you still want to look well groomed.
Aileen Thorne she wasn’t baking in a restaurant and I’m pretty darn sure that she wasn’t catering for anyone. Some people just come to these videos to criticize.
KBJones I wasn't critizing because am not that type of person. If you're publicly on RU-vid, viewers has a RIGHT to give feedbacks on what they are viewing. I have been in the FOOD BUSINESS for many years and a person handling FOOD should know BETTER. Nevertheless, restaurant or NOT. I do hope you take this as a POSITIVE respond and she would learn from my comment. Since everyone wants to be on SOCIAL MEDIA, then do the RIGHT THING, when handle FOOD.
Aileen Thorne when some people are home cooking and preparing food for themselves and family, they don’t think about putting their hair up in a ponytail to look groomed or for any other reason. The recipe was the focus, that’s all I’m saying. Have a blessed day.
Thank you for the feedback and for commenting ☺️ As I am in my personal home kitchen baking for my own consumption, it is not necessarily better or "right" to put my hair in a ponytail. If I were baking commercially, I absolutely would wear a head covering ☺️ Hoping that you took something else away from the video than just my hair style lol
