Sylens was unapologetic in this game. These line was probably may favourite. *Aloy* "I have no mother" *Sylens* "What do you mean? you have two. A dead woman and a dead machine"
I remember that line so well! I think it was funny and cute at the same time xD I mean.... Aloy thoughed she never had any mother. When Sylens said that I got surprized but i loved it.
charlemagne~How about which is better? Believe what your heart tells you is right and let that lead you on your path. No one can say it's right or wrong to believe in anything or anyone, IMO. Just live and let live I think...
*SPOILER* To most, an AI is pretty much a god. Able to create machines to rid the world of toxins, discovering the shutdown code to the Faro Robots, and birthing the next generation of organics.
U missed the moment when Aloy fought corrupted machine near the gate. Then the guard thanked the Sun for that and Aloy replied: It wasnt the Sun risking his ass down here.
SK Bean Haha she said almost the same with Sylens (in this video). It seems she's so done doing everything by herself like protagonists in games always do lol
My favorite is: Carja 1: "what machins do they have?" Carja 2: "big end ugly." Carja 1: "big end ugly? Like your mom?" Carja 2: "wors." Carja 2: "like your sister."
My favourite is when some Carja priest is explaining what the Sun King is, and she asks "has there been a Sun Queen?" The priest says something to the effect of, "the sun is male therefore it chooses men as its representatives." Aloy responds with, "it's a ball of light, I don't see any balls hanging from it!" I couldn't stop laughing haha!
Its not the priest you meet on meridian who says that.. its the other priest you met at the proving. the one whom the nora threw tomatoes at... you guys probably missed it because it was optional to talk to the dude. still funny though
Aloy : i have no mother (im not sure if that what she said exactly) Sylens : “ YES YOU HAVE! A DEAD WOMAN AND A MACHINE” im laughing my ass off cause of that line
I wish there was a scene in which she just starts shouting and explaining the Nora how all of their religion is nothing else but machines in an over the top manner
Towards the end of the first act of the game, you save some Carja fort from a corrupter. The Carja all say "thank the sun!" and Alloy replies, "I don't see the sun risking it's ass down here!" SO good!
That's before you get to Meridian you have to clear corrupted zones and when you go back the settlement that told you to deal with them (daytower) it's under attack.
"Makes you wish you could kill them more than once, doesn't it?" "I think once is enough." "You're right of course; once is enough... when you really savour-" "Okay goodbye Nil!"
@ZERO94AIC Then you have an abysmal taste. I do not blame you for not knowing what makes a game good. Not everyone knows what he is talking about. And I hated on no game, idiot.
Based on pre release footage I thought Aloy was gonna be one dimensional. I was really surprised by how well written and acted she is. I can't believe Ashley Burch did her voice. I only knew her from doing tiny tina, she has quite a bit of range.
Yeah she did Chloe in Life is Strange as well she's relatively nwe on the video game scene but she's done good work. I like her as Aloy haven't played Forbidden West yet but looking forward t ospending moer time with her eventually ther once the game comes to PC
I like how we're getting more charismatic female protagonist in videogames. Aloy is easily the best example so far. Ellie from TLOU is also a close call
"Hey, Fernund. My eyes are up here." "I'm looking at your spear. It's magnificent, but how does it work?" "You stick the pointy end into the Machine." Oh Aloy. xD Then later on: "Why do you think this will turn out well for you?" He should have bought more Outlanders, clearly. And maybe a Thunderjaw to make it more even.
dencg I forget the name of the place but it's located near the large body of water in the north western part of the map. If you've been climbing the tallnecks then look on your map for what looks like dam on the south shore of that large river/lake. It's a cool location with a few quests.
I love how Aloy is constantly so done with everything but I wished they would have made her more alive expressions to fit better with her sarcasm. Kind of lacking.
Escapistier Well, GuerrilaGames guys confirmed that Horizon 2 will have much better face motions and the gestures will be more realistic. I hope they do it because I saw the same problem as you.
Missed a good one in fernand talk about the spear. SOMETHING LIKE THIS... Fernand : How did you control the machines. Aloy: Its quite simple really... Fernand : *interested Aloy : you won't understand. Me: LOL
Im just now starting to resalize how many people try to flirt with Aloy and I just love her because she’s badass and beautiful and people realise it x3
Aloy's dialogue is so good that it made it seem like the other characters' dialogue was neglected even though it wasn't. Her dialogue made the game so much more fun
They were actually one of my only gripes about the game, especially since I played it right after the Naughty Dog Facial Capture Masterpieces of Uncharted/Last of Us
@@PaulMates It's a compromise you have to learn to accept when playing these types of games. It has way too much dialogue for every single one to be hand animated. This game, TW3 and CP2077 are among the ones with the best procedurally animated convos right now. It was significantly improved in Frozen Wilds DLC too, so expect the sequel to have even better animations.
-Hey Bob, *gulp* how about a game featuring vikings and cyber-dinosaurs? -You're drunk Jeff, go home. -But imagine *hiccup* how badass it'd be, right? -Shut up you have a game to porduce. ...A few months later... EVERYONE LISTEN UP! ( Horizon zero dawn GOTY. )
I just started the game several days ago and I love her already. She's funny. And they did a really good job with the facial reactions so she has some good ones when she's talking. It's brilliant xD
Aloy: “Great. People finally stopped calling me ‘Outcast,’ and now it’s ‘Savage.’” Honey, people of this era (“Old Ones”) try to think of themselves as badass and witty enough to be called that. You actually earned the title by taking down things exponentially bigger than you and call everyone on their bullshit with scathing rebuttals. Be proud, ya savage! XD
I really love her sarcasm (just her actually haha) so I downloaded this. Hope you're gonna compile a new one that features ALL of her sarcasm cause that'll be GOLD
I fell in love with the character Aloy during two playthroughs of HZD. And now into a second playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2. The emotional journey that both games take you on with the main character is just incredible. I'm tossing up now between Spiderman, The Last of Us, and God of War, however I'm uncertain if any of these will have a similar 'emotional journey' to HZD and RDR2.
