note to self: always buy every type of weapon, because there are adept versions you can get on the NG+ playthrough. I didn't even realize there was an "adept" Rattler, or that it got a third ammo type. Guess now I have a reason for another playthrough, thanks!
i beat it on ultra hard my first time. but trust me i used a lot of health potions and died a lot. now its 2023 and im going through the game again on ultra hard and im ready to lay the smackdown. 😁
I think, in early days of HZD many people (including myself) didn't realise that its true potential can be unleashed only when a target is frozen. But with time more people started using it more often. There's one important but lesser known detail in HZD fight mechanics: when a target is frozen, not only it takes 300% (typically) damage, but all armour plates basically are not armour anymore, i.e. hitting them deals as much damage as unprotected parts of a machine. While if you try shooting an non-frozen machine from a rattler, most of bolts will hit armour.
@@bruradagast That's def true for me, mostly because I never use it ;) I find the Tearblaster better, but slower, and I prefer arrows over pretty much everything...different playstyle I guess :) I like yours tho...I might have to give it a try.
the unique Frozen Wilds mods are marked with 4 yellow stripes. I don't think that with usual purple mods the battle would be much longer. with this video I wanted to highlight the importance of hitting Fireclaw's sparkers to paralize him - many players often overlook it, and the rattler too. Ropecaster is more convenient way to disable him, but my allies would prevent me from doing so.
