He framed the issue in sovereignty terms - how would Ethiopia respond if TPLF had declared secession and signed an MoU with a neighbouring country ? Why had Abiy violated the sovereignty of Somalia despite the Ethiopia-Somalia defence pact signed in Addis Ababa in December 2023 in place? Somalia 1- supported the position of Ethiopia on the GERD; 2- signed up to the Horn of Africa Economic Integration declared by Abiy Ahmed during his visit to Mogadishu in 2018. Who led Abiy Ahmed into this diplomatic minefields to spark geopolitical tension to a point that the International Opinion is contemplating measures to regard Ethiopia as a threat to global security. Was the Nobel Peace Prize awarded in 2019 to bloodthirsty leader whose government is at war with its people in Amhara region and Oromia region?

If Egypt does not refrain from its aggressive behavior, Ethiopia has the potential to build more dams on the Nile, forcing Egypt to reconsider its stance. There's no need for weapons to address this issue. If Egypt attempts to use force to assert its dominance, it will not succeed because we already have the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), which is more impactful for Egypt than any nuclear weapon. Somalia sovereignty and territory has been with the Somali Land since long ago. No one can make or separate part of the Somalia territory to Somali Land or anything else. In fact Ethiopia can rightly ask it's original Red Sea territory by OAU, UN, Italy and French without the need for war.
