A special project made during isolation days in co-operation with fellow horn players from the territories of the former 7 Yugoslav republics and provinces.
Together, we played the famous melody of Danilo Živković Yugoslavia (From Vardar to Triglav - upon two bars of Bojan Adamič's Planica Fanfare) right at our homes, and arranged it into a unique sounding Horn-orchestra. We were honoured to be joined by musicians such as Boštjan Lipovšek, who has a rich solo and orchestra career, Andrej Žust, a member of the renowned Berlin Philharmonic and some of other leading musicians in different areas (Skopje Philharmonic Orchestra, FMU Skopje, Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, MC Montenegro, National Theater Novi Sad, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, National Theater Belgrade, Sarajevo Academy of Music, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Trieste Conservatory and of Course RTV Symphony Ljubljana and Berlin Philharmonic). Many responded to the invitation with enthusiasm: "Great, great idea, may I just record all the parts? Nobody gets hurt if we have to much material ...". However we had to end up collecting recordings eventually due to the project overload. As many as 40 recorded voices from 19 different hornists have arrived, and I am sure many more would join if they had just been notified.
Horn is just one of the most beautiful and softest sounding instruments, and such are musicians who play it.
