Your vehicle's horn is a simple device. When the horn is depressed on the steering wheel, a signal is sent to the horn relay. (A switch.) The relay powers and sends the signal to the horn. Typically, you'll find your vehicle's horn located behind the front bumper. If you cannot get access to the horn from on top you may have to remove the plastic undercover to obtain access. On very stubborn vehicles, you may have to remove the front bumper all together.
The horn relay is an electronic component that is a part of the vehicle's horn circuit. It serves as the switch that controls power to the vehicle's horn. When a horn relay fails you'll typically find a non-functioning horn, and/or a clicking sound from the horn relay. You'll find the horn relay in the under-hood fuse and relay box. The horn relay may be also located inside the cabin. A simple Google Image Search can help.
