About 20 years ago I got stung by a 3 inch giant Hornet while cutting grass. It actually drew blood. My whole right shoulder and half my arm bruised and was so sore. Think it was one of them huge sucker's that live in the ground. I watched my Dad when I was young hit them with a Shovel and they would still be moving afterwards and always wondered what it would be like to have one sting me. I found out about 10 year's later and it was worse then I thought lol.

It happen on the EastCoast in Maryland. I haven't seen one in Year's. They would dig holes in are dirt lane, little holes and they were huge, brightly colored, and their skeletons were very tough. My dad would kill as many as he could because my Sisters and I were young kid's and ran around barefoot. They were aggressive too. I also would see some huge bright colored Red Ants with black rings around their belly and a very large stinger that would protrude in and out on a sandy beach near are home, way bigger then you're average Ant. Haven't seen one of them in year's also. Always wanted to know what that sting would be like, lol. Hopefully I didn't Jenks myself again lol. I've been stung so many times by different kinds of Bees, even a bubble bee got me on my lip after I was told they don't sting, wish I had a pick of how swollen my lips got lol but nothing like that giant dirt Hornet, damn thing actually drew blood it's stinger was so huge.

Those damn murder hornets are no joke. Killed one that was lingering in my garage last summer. Came out to the garage and the fucker came right for me. Backhanded him and it was so heavy it felt like getting hit in the hand with a rock. When i squashed him, it felt like stepping on a peanut. Another one just appeared in my garage today too. Caught a picture of it on my garage window and it was nearly the same size as the window locking tabs which are 3 inches long. Chased it off with the leafblower lmfao

Had a whole football sized nest of wasps get stabbed with a stick right in front of me about 30 or more land directly on my face and stung me multiple times I was 6 awesome. Thanks grandpa

One of the reason people in the USA where scared of the Japanese giant hornet is because only in japan have the local bees (some not all) they have developed defense strategies like smothering the attacking wasps by vibrating causing friction causing heat causing deth…. But in the USA the local bees don’t know how to do that…so they would just get slaughtered 😢

Hornets are so bad ass. There was a nest in my soffit up near the roof of my house and they posted a gaurd hornet at the entrance. This thing would watch as I walked around my house looking at the hornets flying in and out. Every time I moved this frigging thing would move with me, following my movements. It was scary to watch. Usually insects just ignore us and go about their business, but not this thing, it had a vested interest in what I was doing. It was unnerving.

I've worked in pest control and Hornets/wasps are a huge deal They are ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE They are at every house Even if you knock nests down they just pop up again a week later start building again And they absolutely decimate bee populations
